Sorry, noobie question, but could someone tell me what the 'C-Nanaya/F-Nanaya' And other letters prefixing the fighter's names mean?  ???

That's refering to the newest version of Melty Blood. Each fighter now has 3 styles: Crecent moon(speed based, prefix:C-), Half moon (Balanced style, prefix H-), and Full moon (Power based, prefix F-)

Each style has a more or less different moveset.

Yup. You can find more information about styles in the subforums of each character, in their MBAA threads (if they exist).
