NON-NETPLAY, folks. Not that it means the game play is actually good  :emo:.

HEIL!  >:(

zar are you even aware that your attitude is what drove people off in the first place. i think zar's attitude is worse than all of that. cause neither of you guys mean anything. but zar can poison shit around him. zar's the one that gets personal online and does realtalk that's out of line.

That's true. Netplay is kinda bad IMO. I play online with a friend who lives real close to me, and at times the FPS will be choppy. Doesn't matter which delay we play on. That's just dumb. Ah well though, I heard a new patch is suppose to come out and it's suppose to be big, so hopefully they'll make netplay better but I doubt it. This game is great though, netplay just suckkks.

Cheers to the videos of the first Blitzkampf already.  :V

I really like how the game feels like a newer version of SF2, just with Nazis  :V  Cept the parry is a bit broken imo.

Yup, I agree. The parry window is WAY too lenient. So lenient that you could pull off a Daigo with your eyes closed as long as you parry the first hit of a super.

The gameplay is indeed fun and it combines mechanics from both 3S and KoF. So that's ok. One gripe I do have about the game is the way it saves replays. You have to turn the option on and it records EVERY single match in vs and session in training mode. And you know what's worse? You CAN'T fast forward the replays or exit from them. There's no menu to access while you're viewing a replay so your only option is to exit the game and start it up again. It gets really annoying and tedious if you have a long list of replays and you're searching for a specific one. They should make the replay save system like Melty Blood's, ie give you the option to save the replay after the match is over and allow you to start recording whenever you want in training mode. And you know what I thought was kinda funny? During the training mode replays, it even records the instances in which you pause the game. Piece of crap! >:( I hope they fix this in the next update.

It seems there are hidden colors. Does anyone know how to unlock them? :-X

Yeah the parry window is fuckin retarded.

I was playing Xaq and he jumped RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD (he was playing Sai and I was playing Anonym) and I did 22+BC, where she fires several rounds of bullets over her head in opposite directions.

The motherfucker basically mashes on parry and gets through the entire thing. It's absurd because there were points where his hitbox was crossing BOTH BULLET PATHS AS THEY WERE CROSSING HIM (that makes sense, just think about it for a bit).

Barf.

In offline play, it's all about the parrying. Hands down. x_X And you can combo off the parry attack for even more damage.

I've completed time attack a couple of times with different characters and still no secret colors unlocked. :( I want them because some of them look pretty cool.

Edit: Made a thread for this a few days ago in tourney events. Ignore that and just refer to this instead.  :psyduck:

On October 5th, #Akatsuki/Mizuumi will be hosting an epic online tournament event and we are requesting that all Blitzkampf Soldiers report to the front lines to partake in this historic netplay battle. The event may span many weeks so be sure to prepare extra food rations and regularly fill your water canteens.

Soldiers will be sortied according to battalion (really your region/state  :D). It would be highly appreciated if participants are running DSL or higher in this event as many of us aren't fans of our guns getting jammed in the brink of war (really just laggy as hell . Am i trying too hard with the military references?  :blah:). There is no enlistment fee and thus the soldiers that earn their promotions will not receive any compensation for their efforts. Instead they will attain honor, victory (or defeat lol), pride, and extensive combat knowledge to utilize in future battles. The top 3 highest ranked soldiers will receive a 21-water-pistol salute and "badges of honor" (basically your names get placed in the thread  :fap:).

Macros and mapping will be permitted on the battlefield. We can only hope that participants will respect the "Honor System" and refrain from using "advanced weaponry" (i.e. programmable pads/sticks and turbo features  :emo:).

Victory will be given to the first contender to receive 2 match points (2/3 matches). All finals (losers, winners and grand) will be 3/5 matches (first to receive 3 points). In the event of a draw, neither player will receive a match point and both players will replay the match using the same characters.

It is very important that all soldiers create log entries (turn on your mo' fo' replay feature plz!!!!). We intend to broadcast the war in its entirety via YouTube (xubersoldatx account).

Enlistment is starting NOW! To sign up just post up saying that you want to enlist in the Akatsuki Army or whatever and give the handle you wish to have displayed on the rankings and battle records (match vids). There may be a thread floating around somewhere in the Tournament Events Forum with a complete list of the participants. If not, then I'll just update the thread.

Civilian Synopsis:

Akatsuki Tournament

Date: October 5th ~ whenever it gets finished (we're trying for at most 2mths)

Signups: Are starting NOW. Just post up info like handle, connection, dates and time available, and state/city.

Entry: 0$

Prize: Honor, a learning experience and oh, 0$.  :psyduck:

Matches: 2/3, 3/5 for losers, winners and grand finals, double elimination. Keep the character you win with in any instance. The loser is free to change their character choice. In the event of a draw, replay the match. Blind pick upon request (you and your opponent can just pm the character choice to a 3rd party). *Info on desynching issues will be added later.

-Mapping/macros are allowed. Try to refrain from cheating ppl! (no turbo/program stuff plz)

-Players will be paired up according to region.

-"Good" connections are encouraged (dsl or higher). If you know your connection is shit, please save us and yourself the trouble and frustration by just sitting it out. If you can get access to an acceptable connection post up the date and time when you'll be available to play your matches.

-Most importantly.....SAVE YOUR MATCHES. By simply going to the options mode you can turn on the auto save replay feature. It will record ALL matches w/o you having to think about it at the end of every match.

We're looking forward to seeing veterans and new recruits alike for the upcoming event. If you have any questions/comments you're encouraged to post up. For some drill practice (no homo) and strategy exchange join us at #Akatsuki @ irc.mizuumi.net.

If you're interested just place your info (handle, city/state/time available/connection) in the thread on SRK or if you don't have an account just add it below and I will fill the information in later.

Be sure to check the thread every so often for updates and your current status. More than likely, I will just notify MelBread users about future updates.

Danke!

Awww shhhhhhhh  :o

Akatsuki.Mizuumi is bizzack with another tutorial production presented by editing beast, Rithli.  :slowpoke:
I hope fans of UKETEMIRO (Wei Tutorial) will enjoy this work as well. I know I did.

A little project by Zar the Biscuit and I -- The Marilyn Tutorial video is complete.

With the release of Ausf. Asche coming very soon and with a handful of changes noted from loketests, this video is a bit belated. But regardless of all that, it was something I told Zar that we'd finish no matter what and here it is.

Besides, it is a great display of what Marilyn could do in the version before the one where Akatsuki Blitzkampf is no longer considered a doujin game.

Though they're already listed in the credits within the video, here are some people I'd like to give some kudos:

- Xenozip (for taking the time to capture all those replays -- there were a lot of them)
- Sp00ky (providing a location and being very hospitable while Zar and I Blitz-ed it out)
- siblade and Sabin (for helping with a handful of replays)
- bellreisa (for hosting the US irc community on mizuumi)
- zar (making them replays and for waiting it out through all those hiatuses -- SBO, yo)

Thanks for reading and watching. See you around.
(I'll provide a link to a higher quality vid eventually. Youtube is mrow).
