Okay, I'm writing this thread to confirm something.

My computer automatically updated itself with the latest Windows 7 update. Works good, nothing seems out of the ordinary.

ERROR DETECTED...

For some wtf reason...I cannot write in Japanese on my computer now, nor can I read anything in Japanese THAT IS LOCATED ON MY HARDDISK. I can write fine in Japanese online though for some reason...大丈夫。わかりました？Anything written in Japanese on the computer turns out as a bunch of boxes.

Anyway, I believe this is due to the update since I was working on translations last night and my computer updated while at work. If you guys have anything with Japanese characters in the naming, and I know a lot of you weaboos out there do, or type in Japanese and have Windows 7, can you please double check this for me? Just making sure I'm not going crazy with this and I someone fuxxored my computer.

I can tell what stuff is if I copy-pasta whatever I highlight to a text box on any web page though...Seriously annoying...getting no work done at all tonight... :emo:

ADD: This really sucks since now I have no idea what songs are what on my playlist without listening to each of them...

My suggestion would be to attempt to find the updates to/reinstall your language packs.
But it is displaying correctly on my laptop on windows 7 (though I have no idea if it's updated yet, I don't see any pending updates so I assume it has.)

My Win7 machine displays moonspeak just fine, if you're still having that problem. I'm not sure if this would help, but have you tried setting your non-Unicode region to Japan? ( Control Panel>Region and Language>Administrative Tab>Language for non-Unicode programs box ) Same process to play Japanese games.

I want that wallpaper. Especially if it's 16:9 and 1920x1080. :(

Even if not. The last two or three I've used are all stretched 10x7s and it just looks crap at my monitor's native rez of 2048x1152. :(

I can't find the original pic (the one without the IaMP lettering) anymore, but I do at least have the one that I use for my desktop

It is 1280x1024 though but cutting the top and bottom black bordering, it at least doesn't look 'bad' in 16:9
