CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES

Yeah, so too much TCG discussion going on in the weeaboo thread.  I figured I'd make a thread just for anything card game related.

I'll start it off with Rumbling Spell Orchestra, the Touhou TCG I've been ranting about lately.  It's relatively new and pretty simple overall, but I've been having a lot of fun with it.  There is a kind of universal TCG netplay client used to play and the card text been fully translated.  Brand new 3.6 English update (as of 11/11/10) can be applied to add in alternate card art and various errata fixes with card descriptions and such.  Anyone looking for games, PM me here or message me on AIM/MSN (profile).

So LivingShadow, I asked about that Ran card "Tactician's Nine Tails" right?  Well, one of the guys was unsure, saying it probably means you can look at their hand during Replenish/Preparation phases (though it's completely pointless to not see their hand during Battle phase when you see it before and after that phase, so I'd just end up playing always revealed), but the other guy said:

I'm very sure its only useable the moment it is equipped. It woulda said "As long as this card is equipped you can..." instead. Or it woulda used the word "While" instead of "When".

Sadly, I've never found a card game I've been able to get into, they've just not managed to hold my attention all that well.

RSO seems intriguing though, and it would be the first time I'd tried one where I actually had some clue as to the background fluff. I do believe I shall have to try this out.

LivingShadow, apparently that fucking huge English download with all the scans is completely unrelated to netplaying.     All you need are the RSO Lackey and the 3.6 update.  lol, I feel dumb.

Yeah, I tend to lose interest in this kind of thing quickly too, but it's whatever.  I'm a Touhoufag so I have a little more motivation to play this one in particular.  Let me know if you wanna play and I'll run you through some games.  *thumbs up*

WoW had a really fun TCG but since any card game not called magic or yugioh dies instantly it uh... died.

Now they just put out overpriced packs that are funded entirely by retards who buy them just for loot cards.

I'm fine with playing with that ruling from now on though. That was more or less a fun deck anyway. Probably going to use Kaguya/Yuyuko more.


As for other TCGs I play:
Yu-Gi-Oh: Not much as of late, but I still carry my Volcanic deck around should I get the urge to beat someone down. I haven't bought a pack in years.
MtG:FNM for the most part, usually black and/or blue decks.
UFS:Mostly dead, I still know a couple people who play.

I'd guess that Replenish and Preparation had to be listed because you can use events or abilities to potentially put it into play during Replenish phase, and in that case you would miss out on the ability?  You did that with Kaguya's scene support numerous times.

Holy fuck, my friend just raped my ass with a 4 Meirin super buff deck.  He had a really good start, but it was really scary.  There's this spellcard that allows him to essentially equip as many spell supports (even of the same name) to it as he wants, and for each one it gains Foc/Unfoc Movement +1 stacked on.  He killed me in two attacks.  It was pretty gross, the sheer amount of shit that she has to amass spell supports quickly.  Funny thing is, since I was playing my 4 Remi with mad evasion events, I managed to last over 20 turns before he hit me once.  lol.  Still lost though, I only got 5 spell draws that whole match.  D;

Inside Lackey, click the checkbox that says Text in the upper left (just under the card picture).  Now whenever you hover over a card it shows all of the information for it over the picture.  It's essential for playing.

Man, good shit on all the games yesterday Press.  That was a lot of fun, and I got to dick around with a lot of new decks I had been curious about.  Seriously though, I dunno how many of them I'm really gonna keep, so just make that Patch deck like you want to already.  lol.  I'm just experimenting with as many characters as I can, cuz it's fun to see what shit they can do.

Btw, would it be okay if I used that vent server for playing with other people who would like to voice chat?
