Does anyone here play anything besides fighting games.

shooting games (touhou, Ikaruga), RTS/TBS, RPG(not final fantasy or like) more like Mass effect or Fate stay night, aka for the storytelling not the lving.  Games with pretty colors to rythems (elite beat agents, Stepmania,DDR, In the groove, Guitar hero, and many many more).

I also like fighting games for the community aka not filled with 12 year olds that only know the word n00b and don't understand that helping is nice aka what has happened to starcraft, warcraft III, halo 3 and begining to happen to COD4, and all other popular multiplayer games, at least in fighting games you can just beat the living shit out of them all day (lol), as long as its 2D, 3D's are a little easier to win a round or 2.

Freespace 2 is the greatest game evar.

I used to be a big PC gamer into FPS/RTS/SIM but now I mostly use my computer for emulators/ fighting games.

I still play the occasional console game, lately I've been going through Metroid Prime.

Big Rigs Over The Road Racing is the greatest game evar.

I played that all the time as a kid your forgetting though freespace 2 has better mods, but without the mods I agree with you 100%.

FPS does not belong on a console, and I don't pub CS:S (very few 12 year olds that scrim) instead you get trash talkers who think they're fRod.

consol shooters have one advantage its really easy to get a large # of your friends playing the game fast without a computer for everyone that has all the specfic reqments to run a game, but otherwise yeah I prefer computer shooters.  But its so much easier to have a lan party with consols.

Fighting games, RPGs, that's it. I'll rarely touch anything else, occasional shmup(I don't mean FPS, I hate FPS) or whatever else, but other things that aren't fighting games or RPGs won't really entertain me for long.

Aside from fighting games, I play RPG's(Tales series being a personal favourite) and the occasional rhythm game (Stepmania and DJMax).  I've also recently started playing Touhou, but I'm not too good at it yet
