AZ Crew in SoCal thread
« on: April 20, 2007, 04:47:12 AM »
Making thread to post progress and stuff about the trip out to SoCal and back. Will try to get other AZ people riding with me to post here, too.

Just a placeholder for now. Going to go take a nap before we head out.

Nap complete. Packing up and about to leave in the next hour. That'll give us 10 hours to arrive at Interface. At 417 miles, that shouldn't take too long. At least we'll have a lots of casuals/nap time if we arrive early.

WITHDRAWING LOTZ OF CASH. GOTTA HAVE PLENTY 4 MONEYMATCH.

If we stop at some WiFi on the road, I will try to update the thread again with our progress.

See you guys here... but!

DAVID! Mr. Mailorder! Why the hell aren't you out here? I haven't seen you since we played SSBM and GNT2 (?) at Dan Suggs's house like 3 or 4 years ago. ;__;

AZ crew is staying in South Central right now. Will be heading out to eat and go to arcades soon.

West Toast was a little disappointing for me. I was so exhausted that I believe my performance was hurt quite a lot. Lost a money match, missed so much BNB and rushdown / counter hits. Next time, I'll have to play AFTER I'm well rested.

We might be at AI early this afternoon.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated you guys coming all the way over to support the MB scene. Yeah, sleep is definitely a factor in tournaments- bellreisa's performance was also severely impacted when he came down here without any sleep. But I think we all learned a lot yesterday as well.
<bellreisa> arly *has* given up 3s
<bellreisa> retired it anyways
<linalys> no he hasn't
<linalys> it lives on in crouch shield
<proxyZAR> and it will die there too lol

Arly, I did not learn anything from the tournament. I was too dead to even concentrate on what I did wrong. Instead, we got to AI around 3:15 PM on Saturday, I spent six bucks and played MB against Scott and Leo for over three hours. What I didn't learn at the tourney I made up for at AI. We all had an absolute blast that made up for the crappy tournament performance the day before. I seriously believe I've leveled up quite a bit.

I WILL BE UPPING THE ANTE AGAINST HDPHNZ AND THE NEXT MONEY MATCH WILL BE FOR $40.

Anyway, AZ crew has made it home safe. Mailorder and I are chillaxing at my place. Will be practicing things like baras and rushdown defense soon.

New trip! Leaving around 2 PM today. Will arrive at Arcade Infinity somewhere inbetween 7 PM and 10 PM. We'll see! Anyone know about any cheap hotels on the way to Simi Valley?

Just warning you, apparently the AI scene hasn't been playing MB lately due to bad stick/buttons.
<Xenozip> actually i think miyako was intuitive for linalys
<Xenozip> simple because his playstyle is.. well..
