I'd say it has something to do with their $10mil advertising budget, but I could be wrong. At least its going to be the last of the series.

Eh, my brother dragged me along to go get it at midnight.

Don't get me wrong, I like Halo and I think it's a pretty cool FPS series, but shit it's so fucking overrated. Halo 3 added some pretty need appearance options and the whole Forge system and items are cool but it never deserved this much hype.

The Halo Series was good for about the first 12 years no wit is getting kinda old.
Although I must say that Halo Wars looks good (that is if it comes out for PC)(which it should)

Marathon. Takes place much later in the timeline, ported from mac to pc in 95 I think.

Fun Fact: All Bungie games are related to the halo story line except the Myth series. Makes we want to play Oni to find the references.

I know about Marathon. I hardly count it as part of the Halo series however. Halo merely has a small bit of relation to it.
