While I can understand both sides, you guys went a bit to mean on GoodAndy : / and just as inmature. While I do agree its hard if not immature to call yourself a professional under 25 at least, he does what he likes, and I don't think his intention was to be pretentious, since he gave the whole back story as to why he made the image. I worked with and have friends that are professional designers, or art majors, that completed their university studies, they are worlds above, in theory, and actual practice than anything we see online most of the time. Until you get to that level, and can produce something commercially viable, don't call yourself a pro per say, however whenever you are getting paid for something, you are technically a professional, just not in spirit or skill.  :psyduck:

So in other words welcome to the forum  :V, and hopefully enjoy your stay ;).

*bows* Oss!  Evening, all!

The name's Chocolate Thunder, Choco T. for short.  I played Melty Blood in the past, but didn't really get into it until this past Fanime.  Before then, I usually played KOF XI and 3s (Makoto, yo!).  Been playing fighters for quite some time; started out with SF2, worked my way around with other fighting games like SC, Tekken, CvS2 and KOF.

My main is Miyako (a highly unorthodox one), my secondary most likely will be Hisui (Sorry Tsubasa XD;; ); I've been practicing with her for a little while and I like how she plays X3.  I'm up at SJSU with Tsubasa, magz, and Sataya, so I practice up against them (and usually get my arse handed to me) and at times, I play in he arcade there (can't wait till it's .25 to play, rather than to continue *shakes fist*).  Hope to learn a bit more about my chars through practice and strats X3.

And now, it's time to defrag my comp *punches comp*...oops.
I rike the angry China girl loli :3.

I don't really know how to begin this.

I recently started playing this "Melty Blood" game. I picked it up after MBAC verB came out. I had played this game a long long time ago but it never really captured my interest then. I think my friends and I called it "Loli Fighters" because when we saw it being played both people were using Ren, and that's pretty much what we based the game on. However, in recent times I have grown bored with the mainstream offerings and have been dabbling in doujin fighters, which led me to Melty Blood. You can thank Xenozip for giving me a hand figuring these games out as best he can when he is over 6000 miles away.

I have a pretty solid SF background, I generally play a lot of ST, SFA2/3, and CvS2. I hate 3S. That game can die in a fire.

I used to live in Richmond, VA and I would play in the NoVA, SoVA, and NC region. As far as majors, I've been to EVO twice, and I actually managed to get past pools in 3S one year. With Remy. Go me. I've attended one NEC where we almost died in a blizzard driving up, and I've made plans to attend several other majors which were all failures on my behalf due to work or money.

Recently I have been out of practice with the rest of the world (pretty much the last two years) due to an extended overseas engagement. That will end soon but my new place of employment will be in West Virginia which is pretty much devoid of any sort of gamer whatsoever. I am thinking about taking up catching greased pigs, playing the banjo, and chasing after my cousins/other family members in a lewd and lascivious manner. Luckily none of my family lives in West Virginia so I think I will be safe on that.

In this "Melty Blood" game I am currently playing (very poorly, I might add) Kouma and White Len. In the near future I hope to attend some of the "C3" events and perhaps get some actual experience versus another living human.

Hey there people, call me Shin (unless there's already a Shin lurking around here somewhere).

I'm new to the forums, as evident with this intro. Umm...I know Choco and Jaxx, kinda got into Melty Blood from playing against them and VMoney. I play as Ciel, Chaos, Kohaku, Mech-Hisui, Sion.

From up in Flagstaff, AZ. Nothing much up here, hope to get out to meet you guys at WT or something someday.

New(ish) player.
« Reply #289 on: October 25, 2007, 04:04:29 AM »
Ahoy!

I'm a semi-new player.

I have not really played -alot- of fighters, odd capcom ones and I had my guilty gear phase (<3 Johnny).

Anyway, I've had Melty Blood (AC) on my computer and fiddled with it on and off (as well as had my friend maul my face when he is around).
So I've the time and I'm going to start playing MB a heap more, I'd messed around with all the characters and I've pretty much settled on Sion to play with. Kohaku and White Len were pretty close follow ups, Kohaku for all her broom action seems like someone I'd bore with after too long, and my friend yelled at me for 20mins not to start with White Len (Oh how I love her dragonpunch b).

Moving on, I've (kinda) got the hang of one of Sion's BNBs ( 5a - 5a - 5b - 2b - 5c - 3b - j.b - j.c - jump cancel - j.b - j.c airthrow )
I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for a budding player, or anything.

p.s I'm an aussie if there are any others around who wanna netplay, feel like kicking someone around let me know ^_^
At last, I can pull off BnBs. -proud-

An Australian huh? Do you know MystWalker and did you show up at the last monthly they had? It was just a few days ago and I think it was in Melbourne.

If you're interested in an Australian scene, PM me. I also know some Australians that you can netplay against. By the way, I'm an American.

I should introduce myself. It's been awhile since i lurked around here anyways...

Main: M-Hisui, Satsuki
Alts: Maids, Aoko
Casual: Everyone else

Location: Singapore

I play around 1 to 2 hours daily just so i can keep my execution right, unfortunately, i dont get much action from netplay nowadays (friends too busy or few asian netplayers).
Have to go down to the arcades, but....

THEY JUST REMOVED THE SOLE MBAC MACHINE IN SINGAPORE AND REPLACED IT WITH SAMURAI SHOWDOWN 2!!?? WTF!?

Hello~! I am Carl

I don't play Melty Blood a lot, but I always find it fun to play since the original came out.

My "local" arcade is AI where all I ever play is beatmania IIDX.
I play lots of Team Fortress 2 with the long living clan Hostile Takeover

As for characters I would say I use Kohaku, Hisui and Miyako the most.

Hey guys my name is David (Orange-kun)
I live in a smalltown in montana *tear* so I'm pretty much all by myself as far as the fighting game scene.
While MB is not my favorite fighter I do love the fact that I can now play online w/ other people. I hope to
get alot better ^.^ I use Warachia and Mech-Hisui for the most part. I can't wait to play you guys (and prolly
get my butt kicked) :P

Hi, I'm Alex, I play Aoko, though my favorite character is Akiha. I don't play often, but MB is the only fighting game I play. I'm from So-Cal, and I work for Arlieth~
