Hey everyone.  Been lurking for awhile so I figured I'd finally post.  I usually go by the screen name of Apocalypse, but most people just call me Apoc or Mike(either one is fine with me).

I live in Central Texas, but I may be moving to California in about a month or so.

Right now I main Kouma and Shiki Tohno, and I've been thinking of trying to learn how to use Red Arcueid.

Aside from MB, I also play F:UC (Archer and Saber, wooo), and Call of Duty 4.

No clue what else to put, so hope I get along with you all  :-X :blah:

Only character i can play worth a damn in MBAC is Ciel. (Since shes the only character that responds to my face rolling across the keyboard.)
Good god this made me lol.  You should post more often man.  You seem like a pretty cool guy.

After a few months of lurking I finally decided to register here.

I currently main Warc but I'm working on getting better with V.Akiha and Arc. Right now I'm stuck using MUGEN but I'm working on getting MBAC in the future.

Anyone who feels like doing so may shorten my name to "Les."

Aww, you gotta get off that Mugen shit Les, and go to real Melty!  Mugen made characters don't have the proper hitboxes on them, so it makes the characters different in somewhat subtle ways.

I can believe that, it will have to do until I can get the real thing. I think the physics are off too because there's no way to get enough airtime to do Sacchin's combos. At least the AI I have for Ciel is good blocking practice before it destroys me.

I was refering to the "Bouncy fun" combo. It doesn't work in Mugen because you can't get enough airtime to fully charge j.[c] 5[c] j.[c]

Isn't that combo only in Actress Again?  If the combo at the beginning of this vid is what you're talking about.

That wasn't what I was refering to, the vid had j.[c] dj j.[c] 5[c] not j.[c] 5[c] j.[c]. I found that combo in Choco's guide so I'm assuming it works.

Agreeing with him. MUGEN physics are terribad if your trying to simulate melty blood. The hitbox sizes, falling/moving speeds and accelerations, and moves you can combo are completely different then MBAC. Trust me, Ive been there. Only author i ever found that made decent Melty characters was 9, and even then it was pretty far off from the real thing. If your going to play MUGEN, then don't bother trying to get things as accurate as possible. MUGEN is strictly for fun and lulz, like mix-n-match battles between different series and for making Omega Tom Hanks vs Omega Tiger Woods matches. (Which every MUGEN player has an obligation to do at some point.) While theoretically MUGEN could have its physics changed to emulate Melty, the time and effort to do so just isn't worth it. Plus, Melty actually has a multiplayer community once you get decent. MUGEN.... Not so much.

I was a MUGEN addict myself, so I understand your hesitation to leave. But Melty is superior in just about every way. (and so are most other fighters for that matter)

Think of MUGEN as crack. The more you do it, the more fecked up you get and the harder it is to stop. MBAC is the rehab to get un-fecked.

Drop MUGEN and embrace MBAC. If you don't, you are as criminal.

Why do I even bother going to EVO anymore.... D8

It's not so much a hesitation to leave as it is a lack of resourses to get the real thing. Rest assured that I will switch as soon as possible.

I only registered so I can nab this forum's silly smileys :psyduck:

Anyway with the soon-to-be arrival of MBAA I'm going to have to have somebody to talk to about it and what better place than meltybread. :slowpoke:

About me; denizen from California, got seriously into fighters back from the original Melty Blood but still am completely lost in this game, main White Len because someone has to, and am now going to join your hyping shenanigans *ahem* :prinny:

Save resources and preorder MBAA. At least that would be my solution, even if it does mean your MB-less until it comes out  :emo:

I'm going to go for AC because of the platform. I don't have a ps2 so using AA would be rather hard/dubious and I'm not used to using a controller yet.

Hello, I'm the Dark Legend Vampire. At Acen 2009, I saw Melty Blood hooked and decided to play a couple of matches. It got me back into a Melty Blood mood. I lurked here for a bit and decided to join.

Also, I'm looking for people to play online so I came here.

You can call me Wind, or Hover, whatever helps you sleep at night ._.

Uh...lets see, I friend of mine brought MBAC over to a party, and I was instantly hooked.
My characters are Miyako, Ciel, Nanaya, Hisui, and Arcuied.

He told me about this forum so here I am lol.

I'm also into Fate, Saber ftw!

Eh...One last thing, I'm an Otaku in training! >.< I could really use a mentor lol.

Other than that, I'll try and be as active as I can.
