I'm from Norcal and I haven't met up with anyone on the local scene yet. I started out netplaying MBR:FT with Akiha Tohno and I still main her. I don't have a PS2 to practice on and I haven't looked into sticks yet. I still use a keyboard but I did buy a controller. TK236 is pretty lame on a controller though so I gave it up. Don't really know anything about sticks to buy one yet. Maybe after I do some more research.  I'm interested in playing this game at a higher level. The most I can do right now is a corner combo involving a wallslam.

Ok, since Iam just bored I'll make a introduction post. I've been visiting this board occationally almost since the start (remember it having one newspost when I first looked at it anyway). Been lurking ever since, even registered and didn't activate the account for some time.
Either way, Iam from Sweden, which means the possibility to play others is very limited (well, I do netplay/troll the srm forums...), I haven't played MB with more then like 5-7 others in person, none were any good (not that Iam that good, but I have still to play someone that is better then me, in person). This also meant that I had no real reason to really post here before, since, as said, this is not really a forum focused on netplay. But when I tried to get in contact with a group that actually plays MB I stumbled upon Shinjin on a swedish forum (and some others that I don't think is registered here) and I decided to look into the swedish scene alittle more. Either way, there you have one of the worst intruductions ever, enjoy....  :toot:

Since this is the Intro thread and I completely missed it for a while now, I think i'll introduce myself finally.  :)
Anyway, I'm WickedElement, I live in Azusa, and some of you might already know me from Arcade Infinity.
I've been playing MBFT/MBAC for several years now since the first MB came out for the PC.
I have every version available on the PC & PS2 at the moment, and my main characters are Ciel, Shiki Tohno, and especially Miyako.  ;D
I occasionally take trips to other arcades(for MBAC/3s/ST/A3/KOF/SS/T5DR) for competition and for fun.
Maybe i'll find some more local competition for MB here.  :toot:

Hey guys. For starters, here's a lil bout myself.

-Name: Eric
-Nickname: Numakie
-Location: So Cal
-Local Arcade: AI
-Favorite Character: Hisui
-Signature move: cA, cB, cC, fM, jC, air jump, jC, qcf multi sachel ;3

Been playing the game ever since the first Melty Blood came out. It was around  Final Tuned when i fell in love with using Hisui.  As for arcade experience..... apparently i am well known in AI as the Hisui player according to my friend Wicked. Also played in that busted AI MB... mess of a tourney.... but enough of that....

Nice to meet everyone... Please be gentle ;x
~~Playing the wrong way... and somehow getting away with it.~~
<Pfhor>: no, I only have nightmares about your play numakie
<Pfhor>: because it makes no fucking sense

I play wherever i damn well please, cept the only cabinet is at pz, so comp is there too (as far as comp in houston goes)

I play Arcueid and Hisui, til i can get a solid choice on one of them.

I promised myself i will actually pick up this game, so here i am, on the forums, being cool.

I'm Sam, I come from North Carolina....yeah....it sucks.

I play Tohno Shiki, although not well because I'm pretty new to this whole 2D fighter thing.

My Arcade Scene: Completely Nonexistant. Not a single worthwhile arcade in either of the cities I spend my time in. The only arcade I ever go to is Arcade Infinity in my yearly trip to So. Cal.

Hello all. I'm lain from the Bay Area. I think me and Alt constitute the whole scene up here which makes me wish I had just gone to UCLA.

I play mostly Satsuki but I'm in the process of switching to Arc. I'm hoping that after I finish my finals on the 17th I can hit up all the SoCal players for some matches that don't involve a turtling Warakia or Kouma. Since ghetto-stick Akiha has been banished I will be willing to entertain money matches with all SO-Cal Sacchins. Because law school is expensive like that and nobody uses Arcuied.

Good times.

Hey guys (and gals if there are any around  ;D), spoonz here.

I'm from an island called Trinidad, I just started playing this a few days ago. So far I'm liking V. Akiha and Warachia. The competitive scene locally is pretty much lacklustre, and our level of play is below average at best in most games.

I'm trying to change that by running tournaments and stuff, but we'll see how that goes along and how much better I can get with your help.

Anyways try not to bite me too hard if I come across as clueless  :psyduck:

Everything comes down to passion, dude.  As long as you're excited and energetic on building a scene, people will come to you.  Of course, offering your place for gaming sessions and turning it into a fun kickback really helps.  And if you tempt people with food.. helps even more.

Best of luck to ya.

Oy people. I'm Cla. Just a new person trying to round up players in Long Island/NY.

Just curious: Where are the rules for this site? Don't wanna do something to get booted. I'm also curious of avatar/sig limits.

Oh, and is there a link where you can see all the threads you've subscribed to?

Yo.  Im trying to get into this game a little after coming off my WoW addiction(so many rerolls!).  A friend who plays it says good things about it so im hoping its cool. I used to play 3s pretty tough but that's it as far as practicing a game.  I would usually pick a underused character that can compete but I know don't jack about this game so until than ill play whoever looks the coolest....

Intro threads are weird.

For the people that know me, I'm the Nanaya player that travels to play other games, but will play Melty Blood if it's there on the side.  I was at Showdown Championships and played a lot against Zar and Spooky and they got me interested after a long hiatus.

I'm also here to give Chibi a hard time.  <3

Hey I'm new on this site.  Doesn't seem terribly active.  Anyway I play MB:AC and use several characters very scrubbily.  so go me.  some of you might know me from dustloop forums.  I've never entered a MB tournament but I probably will sometime

We're mostly waiting for certain key venues to get ver.B2. I've been lax on the Mbread campaign lately since I had to deal with SBO quals and school finals. If Melty Blood ever actually was announced for a US release, then there definitely would be a LOT of preparation here for that.

Hello ;o I live in Janesville, WIsconsin and I'm a rather subpar player who mains Arc and uses Hisui as a secondary..I've never been to a tourney before but I hope I can go to some this year..They sound like fun, ah hahaha.  I've never played MBAC before, and the arcades in my city suck (omg only 3-d fighters?!?!?!?!), so I guess I'll have to wait until the PC version is released ._.;  Also I've lurked here and there, and this seems like an interesting place to say the least...
