*inhale*

So, I hear there's this guy, names.... KeiForce, or KeyFarce, or something like that.

I also hear he plays Act Cadenza and Actress Again.

I might have heard he lives in the Midwest, as well.

And word on the street is, he's coming this way!

Hi I'm brand new to the forum, though I've been playing since ReACT FT (on and off, I'm not fantastic or anything)

I actually haven't played since a couple months after MBAC ver.B hit pc, and so now I'm playing AA on my PC through means that we won't discuss (I'm not in the mood to get banned on my first post ^_^).

I did have a question though, if anybody could answer it;

Who should I play in AA? The whole "Groove" system has thrown me for a serious loop, and the only person I was any good with (Nero) seems to be seriously nerfed, and though I read to play him F now, I just don't like it at all.

Back in AC I played Nero, Kouma, Miya, Kohaku, Mech, Warc, and Aozaki (though nothing out of launch, j.bc, j.bc, j.bc airthrow). I also failed miserably at trying to play Reverse Akiha T_T.

As for my skill level, put it this way, I consider it an acheivement to pull of 4k combos without meter (yeah I know I'm scrubby).

Well anyway, I'm open to suggestions, and hope to meet some cool players.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I've been practicing with H V.Sion (because I read that she was high tier) but my execution with her is pretty bad, and I can only hit the ad.C airthrow at the end of her strings like half the time.

Welcome to the forums!

First off as I'm sure anyone would give you this tip, don't worry too much about your current skill level. Practicing hard will reward you, so just keep practicing!

If you're looking to play characters who are most similar to their AC counter-parts, F-Kouma, C-Warc, C-Miyako would be your best bets. C-Koha is also pretty similar but she's a lot better now actually.  Probably the most improved character. Even so, don't let that be the end of trying out characters, a lot of the different moves may have something fun to offer that the others don't.

Yeah, I'm kinda just browsing around the character list now, though the game is really feeling foreign to me lol. I just tried H and F Mech Hisui, and I don't like either of them at all. I also tried out C Ryouga, and I don't like her at all. I've tried Ries, and I like the F version, though it's impossible to combo anything, and I can do the H combos, but I don't like the play style.

I think I'm gonna try out C Kohaku and see if I can get a hold of her again. If I can get her down maybe I'll start playing twins lol.

F-Maids are really strong too!

I'll warn you now though, I hope you don't mind practicing because C-Koha requires a lot of it.  :toot:

Already noticed quite a bit of that. I can't even do her basic 2A 5B 2C 5CC, j.A...C..B, j.AB, j.ABC airthrow.

Idk, maybe they made it not work anymore? Or my execution could just be terrible in my years of not playing lol.

She has muuuch much better combos now.  It's just that they're of higher execution requirement.

Isn't Nero very similar to how he was in MBAC?

Nah Dakanya, he lost his EX deer that gave him insane corner pressure and a lot of his corner setups. Now you got the BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

From what I could tell a lot of AC Nero combos involved the jump C shit to get them in the corner then set up an EX deer combo.

... Doesn't C-Nero still have EX deer? Bee is unique to H-Nero.

And EX Crows setup is pretty strong if not superior...

C-Nero still has EX deer for pressure, H-Nero got bee, and F-Nero got sludge-thing, all of them are still annoying as hell  >:(

i think in mbaa:cc nero's airthrow got increased recovery so that he can't do EX crow after corner airthrow anymore  8-)

I see GenericSu use that setup all day when he plays C.  The difference, if any, must be negligible.

Good afternoon everyone, I was actually trying to find this thread for a while. Course I wasn't surprised to find it next to the tea :o

Technically I've known of this place for a while but never wrote a post before. Now that I bought melty blood actress again, I figured id finallty joiin the community and play competatively for the street cred and pishi haters along the east coast =D

As for a little about myself, I'm a 22 yr old college student/writer-in-progress with an obsession with video games and great stories. I'm bilingual in english and spanish, and studying to learn japanese as well.

My fighter experience is fairly short but I really love playing smash brothers melee(samus/g&w mostly)

My mains for melty blood in act cadenza were aoko and nero, I'm prolly keeping suit in actress again but will prolly give seifuku akiha a shot as well.
Hit me up for casuals if you live in north jersey :D

Nah, for melty only the Northeast US has a huge scene.  Everywhere else it's pretty paltry in comparison.

yeah, west coast MB hardly exists thanks to GG/BB/SF/and soon to be AH3..? wish i played more, actually.

that also reminds me, i never formally introduced myself on the boards even though i've been here for almost a year or something like that. got sent here from one of rei's ryougi videos and my first post/thread was in the ryougi section even though i don't play her anymore. met a lot of you at EVO this year, though i'm not particularly memorable aside from being the only other crippled guy besides ShardZ. all i know is that the melty scene is full of interesting people. nice to :fap: i mean... "meet" you all.

its a real shame that this game is so unappreciated in the west coast, the game is a thousandfold more balanced and offensive then Blazblue and "Tigershot-o-rama" fighter

I'm just glad I coincidently live in the right place for MB =D

It's not that he doesn't have corner pressure in C, it's simply that the only combos I used, and could consistently pull of as my BnB do significantly less damage now. T_T

C-Nero got his old EX Deer back in Current Code. And you can still set up EX Crows after air throw, the setup still works even though it's a little wonky. The higher off the ground you are, the less time you have.
