Hey, guys! I'm Kota, also known as AsunaNegi.  I was directed here from AQS.  I'm a noob MBAC player who can't afford to import (T.T, I'd love to have the real game instead of an eyepatch) and hasn't found a character to stick with yet (although I've been using Sacchin and Ciel a lot).  In the non-MB world I do some editing for Dynasty-Scans.  Nice to meet you all, and I hope to learn the ways of MB.  And I pray my friends won't find this place, so I'll be able to own them completely.

actually MB for pc isnt that expensive. maybe $30 or less for Re-Act FT

if your going for Ver.B its brand new so $50 is reasonable.

you can get all of this from himeyashop.

Anyway, I'm here, and hope to be a good addition to the community, and to not be cannon fodder in MBAC for much longer.

Well I just saw this thread so i figured I would drop some  :blah: on myself.

Name is Ian I live in Orlando Florida.

Started playing MB on Re-Act with a friend from college.

I play as Satsuki or reg. Akiha.

I don't consider myself good as I've only ever played against like 3-4 other people. but am looking for ANY competition that I can get in Central florida.

Hi, uh, I'm a fairly new Melty Blood player. Recently, there has been a rise of interest in regards to the game with a few friends of mine, so I started on the game again and picked up Sacchin and Ciel. Not sure what else to say.

Hey everyone, this is the official introductory thread. Please tell us where you're from, who you use, and what your local scene's like!

born n' raised in good ol' california.  seeing how i've been introduced to the game only recently (2 days ago to be exact) i don't really "use" anybody.  attending San Jose State University, and we actually have MBAC at the on-campus arcade.  there was a lot of attention being paid to the game actually, moreso than 3rd strike, CvS2, and even MvC2 for that matter.

there's something i want to get off my chest.  this forum is kind of rubbing off the impression that we should already be RELATIVELY experienced at the game (well i got the hint after seeing the "who you use" comment from above).  i was wondering if there were some beginner-themed forums for this game so that i can learn the ropes?

'Sup. :V

The Game Mechanic Reference thread has quite a few beginner's threads there, enough to get you started for the sake of knowing how stuff works.

As to what character you should use, well... that's entirely up to you. The Strategy and Tactics board has notes on all of the characters for you if that'll help you pick one. Mostly just playing more should give you an idea, lol. I started out with Tohno Shiki, then Nanaya, then Ciel, and finally settled on Kohaku.

Of course, to truly practice it (in the comfort of your own home no less), you can always buy the PC version from the front page (Nasu needs the money, and Arileth wants to play middleman lol :V).
At a time like this... I WISH I HAD A DIGITAL CAMERA!

The more beautiful and pure a thing is... the more satisfying it is to corrupt, isn't it?

What's good ya'll? I'm DJcream, a central cali representative. I first picked up AC when I was at Anime Expo this year and decided to play a Blue Nero the first two nights. Since then I got the PC version and have been messing around with Hisui, Mecha-Hisui, and Sion in addition to Nero.

I'm here to get good at another fighting game. I'm already good at CvS2, 3S and MvC2 (with some knowledge of A3 and ST) so I'd like to get good at Melty Blood too. I just wish there was an AC machine at my local (crappy) arcade.

BTW, I too am an Aquastar member...

And I can own this guy no matter how hard he tries. :)
