Anyone got any phobias? Stories of crazy people? "Friends" with issues?

Ever run into people who refuse to have their picture taken? You hear about this shit happening in ye olden days where knowledge was a privilege afforded only to the gentry and the dandy. But to think that in this day and age there are still people who have an irrational fear of having their soul "stolen" is hilarious.

Other phobias have basis in trauma--which,you know makes sense and shit, but PHOTOGRAPHY? Did a Canon POWERSHOT rape your dad?

Maybe it's religion based! Now, I'm not one to bash on someone's religion--unless of course it's one of those SLIGHT AGAINST GOD RELIGIONS like Voodoo. They got this belief that pictures can be used as a medium for curses and other occult shenanigans. But I don't think Voodoo is too prevalent in NORTH AMERICA. And the other FEAR OF PHOTO religions are even less common.

So what gives?

Unless you crumble into a ball at the site of a bee--fear of bees, spider, and shit isn't too crazy. Those things CAN fucking kill you. Apprehension around a AFRICANIZED BEE hive is to be expected. Those bee's might steal your bike!

By card games--do you mean shit like POKER and GO FISH or (ACTUALLY) satanic games like Magic:THE GATHERING and YUGIOH? Did he start playing these games after he found out they aren't pure evil?

That's kind of interesting. It kinda ties into the PHOTO thing. It isn't something that's based in logic. It has to come from some starting point(religion, parents, DAD GETTING RAPED) but you never can tell these crazies.

Occasionally everything (not all at once)... especially randomly after 3am at night...

Heights.
When I'm on a high place(even if it isn't really high or maybe it's just above the ground) I feel nervous...
And if I look down, I feel like I'm going to fall for no reason. Then I get more nervous...
But the weird thing is, when I always look down at that place, it doesn't feel scary anymore. So maybe I got used to that place.

You think that list is bad? Try looking at the list of paraphilias. Some of the more bizarre ones:

Autoassassinophilia: sexual arousal from fantasizing about or staging one's own murder
Dendrophilia: sexual attraction to trees and other large plants.
Homeovestism: sexual arousal by wearing the clothing of one's own gender
Kleptophilia: sexual arousal from stealing things
Pyrophilia: sexual arousal through watching, setting, hearing, talking or fantasizing about fire

As for fears, let's see... Yeah, looking down from high places gives me the chills. I can also say that I have a fear of the unknown. If I don't know what'll happen for sure after doing something, I sometimes don't do it. However, these are fears that have some sort of rationalization.
