Chill out on all the talk about
potentially illegal activities and get back to the discussion at hand. Ep.5 is gonna be the sex, and I can't wait until this next month passes by so that I can finally see it.
The casual way Araya is mentioned as being replaced by Tohko passed by me the first time...

Actually I noticed it very strongly. It made me stop and think for a second, because I don't remember Araya being a speech counselor for Shiki at all. But I figured it must've just been a way to solidify the fact that Araya is a central figure in the hospital, to explain why it's got a bounded barrier around it and so many stray spirits inside. They handled that bit a little differently from what was in the book, IIRC.
It also made me sad that they didn't make any references to Fujyou in the hospital, or how her envy for Mikiya's love-filled visits led her to accept Araya's offer in the first place. It would have been a nice touch, even if it was just subtly hinted at. All that actually was explained at the end of the first chapter, but it still would have been a neat addition, since they're taking some small liberties with the story anyway.
I hope they really glorify the opening scene of chapter 5. It could be so brutal if they do it right.
