MB "Ryutars" Avatar Thread *Updated 1st Post*

Okay so to fill everyone in really quick on what a "Ryutar" is, a "Ryutar" as I like to call them are avatars that depict a fighting game character in a funny and/or stupid looking way and beside of them is a phrase or name of a move that they're known well for severely misspelled in a humorous way.  Once upon a DustLoop topic, a user known as Mr.Ryu made some avatars in this particular style for a group of New Jersey Guilty Gear players that were looking for some avatars, and eventually as these NJ players posted around the boards, their avatars got a lot of attention and people requested for more of them.  Thus began a trend that died out sort of quick for a little while after Mr. Ryu took off for a bit.  A couple weeks or months later, a friend of mine from New York known as SH_Junkie finds these avatars one way or another and gets a huge kick out of them.  This eventually led to him making a few of his own and posting them on DustLoop, which generated a huge number of laughs and also led to couple of other people posting their own versions of these creations.  The trend of "Ryutars" had come to life again.

....Alright that was maybe a little on the tl;dr side but that's a good summary of where these things came from, and with that said I thought it would be a good idea to make a few Melty Blood "Ryutars" and heck maybe if it gets popular enough, someone out there will want to make some Fate/Unlimited Codes Ryutars.  Just to get started and give everyone an idea of what one of these things looks like, here's some that were made over in DustLoop for Guilty Gear and BlazBlue:

So far 4 have been made and I have ideas for 2 more already.  If someone wants to do Aoko or Nrvnqsr Chaos, I can give you the ideas I had for them if you're dry on ideas for those two.  Otherwise this is where you deliver the lulz with "Ryutar" pics that you've created out of the various Melty Blood cast.  The possibilities are only limited to what you can think of here.      Also the preferred size for these pics is 160x64 for sake of space and it's kind of a traditional size sort of thing now, but if you need more detail in the pic, bigger size pics are always welcome.  Now then, let the antics begin!!!

Ah i remember these, the Noel one is funniest IMO. Sounds like a plan though, just don't expect me to draw one, i try'd to do a Sol one and it ended up looking like crap.

Yeah I'm just a tad unconfident about making some of these, but I'm completely willing to try anyways because I think the plans I have in mind for Warakia and Riesbyfe will make a bunch of people laugh.  xD

Ripping the main is always fun, I'm probably going to do one of Sion sometime in the future.  As for now, I think Warakia is just a little bit difficult.  Why?  Because well...his regular facial expressions are what you'd see on one of these avatars anyways.  xD   I think I'll leave Warakia to someone else and just work on Roastbeef.

PROTIP: If the character looks insane normally, the bizarro-version of the character normally used in an avatar like this would appear completely and perfectly normal, instead.

With that protip in mind, I think I might do what Dizor did to his Zappa pic.  Since Zappa already looks like a total insane freak of nature (you know, with being possessed by multiple spirits and such) he just looks sad and worried in the pic.  I could picture Warakia looking like that for some reason for one of these pics...  ._.   INSPIRATIONNNNN, thank you again Dark for you are an awesome person.

I learned a lot making this one, including a better skin color and some touch-ups for slightly more detail to make it lean towards the lulz factor even more.  I just had to make fun of the moe face, I really did, so I threw the moe lip gesture in almost right off of the bat.  People that have played Riesbyfe to some extent on MBAA might get this one but if you don't, the phrase is a severe misspelling/mispronunciation of Riesbyfe's Arc Drive, Official Apocrypha (正式外典 <--- you translate it...), or at least what she says when she performs it, but then again I think she just says the name of it (me no speak Japanese!)... >_>
Oh well I had fun with this one and hopefully I brought a few laughs with it because there's still more to come when I get ideas.  ^^

I was thinking about a Nrvnqsr Chaos one in the near future if you want to give him a go.  For him I'd go with "JAY CEEZ LUHP" (j.C loop) or something like that.  If you or someone else doesn't do it in the next few hours, then I will.  Right now I'm working with planning a request from the DustLoop community for a Dizzy avatar so I wouldn't get around to Nrvnqsr until way after the amount of time it would take someone else to do it.  :\

Well I'll be, someone actually did it.  xD  It's not the right dimensions but who gives a crap, it needed more room in order to be that well.  Very nicely done Warakia, Kamina.  So next in line is Nrvnqsr if anyone wants to tackle him before I do eventually OR if someone wants to make one of another MB character, then by all means go for it.

*UPDATE*: I'm running dry on ideas.  I was thinking of doing a Ragna avatar for DustLoop but I just can't pull it off, I feel like I'd screw it up because I just can't seem to draw that expression I desire from him.  I'm back here now for ideas on what to do next for MB avatars instead so I'm all eyes on suggestions.  Name a character and what to poke fun at from the character and I just might do it, but right now I got ideas for Nrvnqsr and Aoko so I'll probably work on them starting tomorrow.
