Liked it on the gamecube but couldn't get online, found psu pretty fun but it just didn't have the same feel as pso.

I'm hoping phantasy star zero will turn out good since having a portable PSO which is more similar to PSO then PSU whith online and no subscription fees would just be too awesome for words.

well, i'm still debating whether to pick up Phantasy Star Portable (PSP for the PSP, lol). Not sure about Phantasy Star ZERO. Haven't heard much about it yet other than it being more like PSO than the newer PSU.

PSP (can i call it that?) is supposed to be much like PSO just set after the events of PSU. Wii-Fi multiplayer and such with various character classes and weapons for each. The only reason why I'm not sure if I'll get it is I'm not sure how many people I will be able to party up with to play. The only person I know where I live that plays it already has the Japanese version and I'm not 100% sure about the compatibility between the different region games what with the PSP now going region coded and all.

Yeah, I didn't like PSU that much either.

I'm just playing cause I'm bored and this shit economics in this game are lulz. I say that but I do kinda like playing PSO.

Tell me how PSP is if you get it.

I started playing PSO last November (2008), and played it every night for about 3 months and the last month i have been working extremely hard on school (and modding my wii) but i plan to get back on asap.

my PSO game save failed and I lost all my items and my mag on the gamecube version...so here I am a lvl 96 RaMarl with no gear barely able to go through Hard mode for gear...it is very frustrating.

On an on-topic topic, I got PSP (Phantasy Star Portable). It's not bad of a game, I do like the palette set-up and such. It does play very much like Blue Burst where everything branches from a main base and you can only do missions and no exploration. The game is easy. I'm a lvl 27 human ranger/gunmaster. I've been playing for about 5 hours. Leveling up in the game is really easy and the fact that it is only ad-hoc and not internet ready is kind of a bummer. Overall, it is a decent Phantasy Star title for a handheld, but if you are a fan of the original console versions, PSO, PSU, BB, you might want to stick to the console versions...unless you want to play your Phantasy Star wherever.

I like it, just wish there was more to it.

Level 30 Human Protranser here. PSP is steadily getting more stale as I progress.
