I was using the FrameDisplay tool to see what kinds of things all the characters had, and I came across this strange thing in Len's frameset. What the hell is it, and does she ever use it?

Oh, seeing as I finally saw this thread since it was bumped, I'd like to point out this attack is actually in MBAA. Len phases out and the hammer appears. It does good damage and launches.

Heres my sad attempt at making a sig using my fave chars

lack of artistic skill for the win.

theres actually some stuff i have to fix like repositioning the portrait things so their all levelled and such and moving them up so the shadows on their feet aren't cut off.

EDIT: I dunno WTF I'm doing ... tried with a border not really sure if i like it more like this or not.

Can you make me a sig like that with Nanaya, and Sion :)

And thanks for link saved me alot of time!!!

Just in case you don't have the sprites from actress again: http://www.justnopoint.com/ggslash/index.php?id=11

edit:you can download "stage sprites"from this site  as well which is pretty neat.

Hey guys.

Like the links for all the sprites. These will come in handy later for my art project.

Sorry for asking this in this thread, but, is there any place I can go to to look for character portraits from the game? I'm also looking for big, high-quality character portraits for MB characters to help complete the project, but my trusted websites that I usually go for them don't have them. sadfaic.jpg

Anything would be suffice. Thanks for the help.

You did dl and look in the system link where all the sprites are linked right? Those are the portraits (among other things) from the game. They are high quality, but they are not big. Any image you find that is bigger, and is from the game, is simply a resized copy of one of those smaller images. If you don't want them from the game, I'm sure there are big, fan made, images out there, but I don't know where to find them. Sorry. Otherwise, you'll just have to scale the images in that system folder to your desired size.

Which in game images are you looking for? I mean from what specific loading screen, or char select screen, from the game and what chars are you looking for?

Should have known better to know that they were under the system dl. :P

A fail on my part, sorry.

Thanks for the help, though. It seems like the system folder actually has plenty enough character portraits to work with, from character select, to the win screens.

Appreciate it.

http://www.mediafire.com/?7gxuhh2isa04j9g

Anyone has links to MBAACC 1.07 character sprites? How can I get it by myself? Give me the steps and I'll give you the stuff later.

Open 0002.p in framedisplay to rip them.

Thanks for the answer.

I knew about that way, but the quality loss is too big imo... Isnt there any other way?

Yeah, images from the 2.p is what the game uses. The format framedisplay saves to is .png. I don't think you can find better quality.

I've ripped sprites using framedisplay, and overlayed them frame by frame onto video I recorded directly from the game before. They all matched so far, pixel for pixel.

Then maybe my ps zoom is terrible or the contrast fools me, here's the differences I see (it's more visible in the hand, nails): http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/7180/66675053.png

It's rips are 256x256... but what I see in framedisplay (before rip) and in-game are much better...

Those actually look the exact same.
They could look different in-game because of the filtering (if you have it enabled).

Yeah, I forgot about filtering. I'm not quite sure what the game uses, but I'm sure you can get a similar effect to in game by using a smoother and antialiasing and maybe a sharpener.

I don't get it, why did it ripped only 1424 (Akiha) and in that sprite site there is 2848 images? The guy ripped 2 times? But where are the new moves sprites like 236[A]? He ripped from MBAACC 1.07, not MBAA? Same for Aoko.

Edit: actually that site's sprites are MBAACC 1.07, not MBAA lol. It's just a little buggy (lots of images had it's colors inversed. So I'll rerip and upload everything together. Brb.

That's a little confusing. You do want 1.07 sprites, right?

If so, using framedisplay to get 1.07 sprites will get you the new moves. Charged moves will be in the same sequence as non charged, with the charged animation first, followed by the non charged animation.

Edit: Doh, my mistake. The charged and the non charged animations use the same sprites a lot of the time.

Thanks for your help Tim!

I'll just rerip (since some of them had their color inversed) and compile them in one file. Probably oploading in 1 hour~
