Sudden MB error. Any help on solving this.
« on: November 24, 2007, 06:35:26 PM »
Well. I have been running MBAC without any problems since August or September, including netplay. But yesterday when I wanted to open the game I got an error. I hadn't played in about 2 weeks. The error looks like this.

It kinda looks like it's asking for the DVD, but it had never done that before. I lent my installer DVD so i don't have it with me. I also got a 42'' lcd screen to use as a monitor, I doubt that should be the error, but since I can't read that who knows if its a display error. Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it?

Rip your copy of meltyblood to the pc with an some type of Iso maker
Mount it with a program

WaLA - No CD

As for the error, if it says you need a dvd (Or from what you understand) go ahead an uninstall and re-install the game

Wants to order the Limited Edition of MBAA...

I never had the Iso mounted on the PC and it ran fine for about 5 months. I installed it from the DVD took it out and that was it. I never used the DVD to run the game. It never gave any problems. So i wonder if that's really the problem.

Suprisingly enough that is what happened to me thats why i reloaded 6 times. im an it major i should know better if I had to reload 6 times.
By reload i mean Windows XP not MBAC.

My brother had the same problem before

My guess is that you have to run the game in an administrator account to play it without dvd.....on restricted logins(such as guest account) you need a copy of the DVD.

But I can't be sure though cause I've never had this problem myself before.

Your best bet would be to mount the cd
If that doesn't work... Then I would not know

Run it in applocale for Japanese so we can see the Japanese text of the error.
