The Hadron Collider was activated and the first two particle beams were successfully circulated around it's tracks. A little old, but considering no one had really discussed anything about the world's largest physics experiment here...  :V

Hopefully there won't be a resonance cascade.  :psyduck:

do you really think they would of gone ahead with it if they thought there was even a even slightly reasonable chance (.0000000000001% is not reasonable)  of the world ending.  Seriously, I think this is awesome.

Yeah sorry, I was exaggerating, since there is no collision experiment as of yet. They're merely circulating the beams. There will be two collision experiments soon, the latter smaller than the former.

The high speed particles that were supposed to cause havok arent supposed to be scheduled til mid october. Today was only a test run.

but yeah. i'm looking forward to weird time-reality shifting displacement. I hope i get xray vision.

This was just a minor test though. They're doing something bigger in October I believe. WE'RE NOT OUT OF DA HOLE YET!  :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :emo:

and like I said its safe and its just the media and there world is going to end stuff running around with their pants on fire.  Most of the serious concerns of the ppl working there is making sure they don't break something cause it would cost alot and set back research significantly.

WE'RE NOT OUT OF DA HOLE YET!

technically, we're out of the hole now. We'd be screwed when we're in the hole.

Well actually....

The highly publicized hadron collider never had any theoretical chance of ending the world.
However, the shushed nuclear bomb experiments had quite a chance of doing so. One side of scientists mathematically calculated that a nuclear bomb will infinitely chain while one side of scientists mathematically calculated that it won't. Politicians said f*** it we're still doing it, and one side was proven wrong.

lol, but they could of made it more realistic, but then again that would of required more effort.

Well, with these two, lets hope the Combine at least let us keep Melty. Len with headcrabs instead of cats? Shiki with a crowbar?
