If the Tsuki visual novel didn't have a good story, it wouldn't be worth anything at all. I mean, shit, the art certainly wasn't anything worth fapping over, that's for damn sure.

And why the fuck are threads like these popping up every fucking month? Tsuki anime is a joke. Even the manga is superior and it's but a pale shade of the visual novel. End of story.

ProTip: If you use ~~the music from the anime~~Toshiyuki O'mori's excellent albums "Moonlit Archives" and "Moonlit Memories" they coincidentally fit very nicely with Tsukihime, and make up for Tsukihime's main flaw, the terrible soundtrack.

I think the anime failed so badly because it basically failed to actually include what was awesome about the VN. Arc fans aside, I think the far-moon routes were much better and enjoyable, and in the anime, there is almost no mention of anything related to that. Also, Tsukihime was in many ways a psychological thriller, and you can't get any of that in the anime.

Maybe you can't. When I watched it, those moments in the first two episodes especially, where they cut from Arc's death to Shiki being back at the mansion, and it's really hard to tell what's real and what's not, stuff with Ciel hypnotizing Shiki, the two Shikis, etc... by the time you've played all the routes of the game you take it for granted, but the anime did a plenty fine job of replicating some of the psychological thrills that are central to the game. Obviously 12 episodes is too short to cover everything, but at least they didn't try to do each path in like 2-3 episodes apiece like some galge-anime adaptations.

They could have at least made the Nero battle better like they did in the manga adaptation of the VN. Where the fuck were my gigantic monster crab things? Where's my FINAL FORM Nero? Where's the hundreds of animals?

I tried it to get a bad ending, but when I wasn't seeing her kill him, I thought he'd live anyway, so I went back to the decision and stopped the rape. My first accidental bad ending was actually when nero raided the hotel.

Er, the Ciel route is open at the start.

Then I ended up getting Arc's first then before Ciel's. Still had to get Arc's before Hisui's though.
