Just got back from an Anberlin concert with openers Civil Twilight (South African band, sounds kinda like Muse) and Crash Kings (pretty good, I'd only heard Mountain Man prior).

Deaf and exhausted, but it was so worth it. :toot:

There's a lot of music that I listen to, but I don't buy everything they make.  I'd much rather buy singles these days, if I can help it.

I don't know if other people share this mindset, but I don't really listen to 'everything' a particular artist puts out.  Entire albums don't excite me anymore.  Instead, I like listening to one or two or three particular songs over and over.  The uh, "pop hits" I guess (lol).  I guess this stemmed from my disappointment from buying CDs, as there'd usually be a select few good songs, the occasional gem that wasn't featured or heavily promoted, and a slew of garbage 'filler tracks' as per request from record companies.

Oh.  That'd probably the other thing I dislike about albums: that detestably plastic manufactured process artists have to go through for their record companies.  But that's a whole other issue.

And keeping with the thread title, here's two songs that I really enjoy.

I can say that I'm the same way tho. Albums are overrated.
The only exception to that rule are greatest hits albums. Worth every penny  :fap:

All of my absolute favorite artists remain my favorite because I love around 75% or more of the songs they put out for at least one album.

Too lazy to list everything, but lots of game music in various formats, one of which I even helped standardize.

Other than that, I listen to mostly "unheard of" stuff. If you really want to dive into some of the things I listen to, I strongly suggest you check out bands like Symphony X, Midnight Syndicate, and Yoji Biomehanika.
