discuss the character or something

New corner combo does about the same amount of damage as the old one, but it's generally easier to do than 2C 5C 5C 2C (2A) 2A 2C etc. C is probably a little more worthwhile now that F isn't better in almost every way. Higher average damage, midscreen mixup, C mechanics, okayish reversal option, steady health regen/enemy never has any red health if you use her command throw to any extent; if she had F's air normals, she'd be amazing.
-
whoa i didn't know that loop, brb gonna go practice.
-
2A, 2B, 6C, 4C, 2C, 5C x 5C, 2C, 2A(whiff), 5A and then 2C didn't come, what i do wrong?
-
Are you sure the first 2A whiffs and the second one hits?

You need to pause between (2A) and 5A and let Akiha go back to neutral, otherwise the game says 5A 2C etc. is part of the same chain and you don't get another 2C since you already used one in the string.

Does anyone play this character anymore?
I'm wondering if any of you have any j.2C tech that I can steal.
-
Just steal GO1's tech. :v

It's a really fast overhead, what tech do you need for it? There's some stylish stuff in here if that's what you're looking for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CkfJZn5w3M

I could be wrong but I believe you get more damage and still get reliable knockdown with the newer combos.
-
Yeah, addition of command grab means almost everything leads to hard down.
Also, rare footage of Tonberry with non ReAct links. :v
-
Not that anybody really plays this character, but it seems this is her optimal corner bnb:
2A 2A 6C 4C 2B 2C 5C 2C (2A) 2A 2C BE5B 5C BE236A 2C BE5B 4C 63214A
Basically, one rep of her old whiff loop and one rep of her 236A loop. Does 4935 on V.Sion; should work on pretty much everyone. Only weird characters not tested were nekos and Archetype.
-
This combo does slightly more damage, and is a bit easier IMO since you have more leniency with the whiff loop after a BE236A:
2a 2a 5c 4c 6c 5bb BE236a 2c (2a) 2a 2c 5c BE236a 2c BE5b 5c 4c 63214a
I haven't tested it extensively, but it should work on most of the cast. One thing to note about both of the above combos is that you won't be able to finish them if you don't get either the 2a2a or 2a2b starter, since gravity won't kick in enough at critical parts (so for example, you can't do either combo off of an instant overhead).
-
The one I posted works fine off instant j2C.
-
Oh okay, that's good to know. I haven't gotten it to work; guess I'll have to experiment with it more.
-
Can't you just TKj.2C 2A as a starter? It's still two hits.
-
I feel like you're normally too pushed out for 2A, but I could be totally wrong.
This is literally based on my memory of MBAC, so
-
Spot on; j2C has too much pushback for 2/5A.

Where are you having trouble? You have to have a delay between the first 2C 5C, or they wallbounce too high to pick up. Everything else is pretty straightforward.
-
When I tried it earlier, the opponent would drop out before the BE236A connected. Like you said I probably just need to adjust my timing more so they're lower to the ground. Admittedly, I only messed with it for a few minutes before assuming it wouldn't work.
