When's Melty on Steam?
ahaha that's no--wait, what?
: (Solved) Cannot open Frame Display v1.1
: Mieh February 10, 2009, 04:41:59 PM
Problem Source Found: Frame Display can only open if inside of Melty Blood's installation folder (the executable, files, and src folder 'must' be in the exact same directory as the Melty Blood: Act Cadenza executable).

Solution: Move the program file and src folder to the above (correct) destination.

OP:
Right, so I think I've got a noobish problem / concern... grill as you will.

Upon double clicking the framedisplaymbac application nothing opens, though an stdout text file appears in the program folder with the text,

:
Couldn't open 02.p
I'm using Windows Vista 32 bit and have attempted running the program in XP compatibility mode, as an administrator, and through a DOS command prompt by simply entering the command path.  All of these methods yield the same results.

... Does anyone have any input concerning this?

Can you actually play Melty Blood? Because if 02.p isn't there, the game doesn't even start.

Also, did you put framedisplaymbac.exe and the folder 'src' into the same folder as your mbacPC.exe file?

Wow, yes that's what the issue was.

For some reason I never got the impression that was necessary... perhaps this post (if the installation instructions haven't already done so) will ward others from the same issue.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Or you can go the other way in order to keep everything separate and create a folder for framedisplay, then copy 02.p and 06.p into the folder. framedisplay only needs those two files, so everything else doesn't need to be copied. It's what I did, and it works like a charm.
