Are you updating from the original install to the most recent patch? Or from an earlier patch to the latest patch?

If it's the former, the title screen should no longer say "Happy Birthday Len".

Ver.1.03A is the latest version available.

All playable characters are balanced as far as I can see, shes not very cheap.

Okay, another one.... what characters in this version are banned from tournament play?

The Neco's, depending on the rules of each specific tournament are generally the only characters that get banned from tourney play.

Aoko (said red haired girl with beams) isn't banned at all, she isn't broken like she was in RE-Act, assuming you're talking about Act Cadenza here.
