The links from that thread are definitely the best answer to any question you can have about sticks. Generally, HRAP is good, a lot of people use a HRAP2 for PS2 with a PS2/PC converter. Sanwa/Seimitsu parts are almost always preferred to American parts unless you're just really used to American parts and for whatever reason don't want to switch, and Sanwa or Seimitsu are the arcade standard for pretty much every game that's not MvC2. SF4 TE/CE sticks are also as good as Japanese sticks, and those are for 360/PS3, though I don't know if you'll be able to find those easily now. In fact, a lot of sticks have been hard to find lately because of SF4.

I vote for building your own. My current one allows me to use it on a PSX/PS2/PS3/PC without the use of any adapters.

It's hawt.

Those SF4 ones like the Madcatz TEs and the Matcatz SEs are also very good. Either version will work on a PC. If you mod the SE you can get a better stick than the HRAPS and would cost slightly cheaper.

The madcats are also easier to perform a custom art mod.

That being said, i'm only here to show off my recently modded sticks.
