I cannot seem to get the game working on Windows 8 in Revision 1.2 or 1.4. In 1.4 both mbaacctool and MBAA.exe refuse to launch altogether, while in 1.2 mbaacctool will have the game launch as a big black screen. My drivers and directx are updated and I have no problems with any other game in this manner.

So I'm currently having what I suspect to be Windows 8 related issues as well.

Whenever I boot up the game it loads the launcher properly but when the actual game starts I get a mostly white screen with some of the main menu's text on it.  I can navigate the menu but the game is otherwise unplayable.

Anyone have any luck running Melty successfully on a Windows 8 PC?

I actually have ended up fixing this problem, turns out I was just being silly and need to reinstall my drivers!
I would easily recommend trying to update/install drivers first thing for that problem, as it's exactly what happened to me.

^ That sounds more like a video card problem than a Windows 8 problem. Mind posting the specs (should be in the SystemInformation tab in the MBAACC loader)?

I'll go update my video drivers and see what happens.

I'm willing to bet it's APU or driver related. Melty runs fine on my desktop with Windows 8 with a HD 6800. Try installing the AMD gpu drivers http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
