MBAACC tools generic / Ping & Delay
« on: March 01, 2012, 02:00:22 PM »
My first question is about the delay threshold. I'll use as exemple this:

DelayThreshold1 = 10
DelayThreshold2 = 35
DelayThreshold3 = 70

0~10 will be delay 0, 10~35 will be delay 1, 35~70 will be delay 2
OR
0~10 will be delay 1, 10~35 will be delay 2, 35~70 will be delay 3?

In other words, the ms number marks the beggining or the end of that delay?

My second question is about ping and delay ingame. Can anyone read and understand the ping and delay numbers inside the game? I can't read it, but I think those are not default parameters. Any hint for making those scribles useful?
A little bit of console ain't too bad.

You can make the ingame readings useable by running MBAACC through AppLocale and setting it to Japanese regional settings.
In Soviet Blood, victory 2a's its way to you.

The latter, as you cannot get 0 delay in netplay, even with a ping below 10.

Thank you so much guys. Sorry for taking so long to answer.

I think the tool is not working for me. I've changed the delay thresholds (only to test) to ms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 5000 to assure the delay would be 10 (between 9 and 5000 ms) but still the delay wasnt high.

Tweak delay is on and I opened the game via the tool's exe. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Maybe I am, I don't know. I uplodead my .ini just in case: http://www.mediafire.com/?m9gxa3xxcoe6bse

I think this delay thing can help a lot of people. One thing that got me wondering is "# Lower calculated delay values by tweaking thresholds (1 is on, 0 is off)". Does it means that it can only reduce the delay?

I tried to use the mbaacc tool along with my 1.4 but it messes up the original controls. Does anyone know how to fix that?

The newest tool lets you turn off the control override in the config file.
