Umm... sorry, noob question - what exactly is the 'arc drive'? I once used Akiha Vermilion on a friend and ended up doing a last arc finish.  ???

In heat or blood heat use half circle forward + C to use the arc drive.
In blood heat, perform an ex-shield in the air or on the ground (depending on the character) to use the last arc.

In Max mode, heat or blood heat use half circle forward + C to use the arc drive.
In blood heat, perform an ex-shield in the air or on the ground (depending on the character) to use the last arc.

The blood heat version is another arc drive.

To summarize:

Half circle forward during MAX MODE or HEAT results in an Arc Drive (AD).
Half circle forward during BLOOD HEAT results in Another Arc Drive (AAD).
Successfully Ex-Shield an attack during BLOOD HEAT results in a Last Arc (LA).

In accordance with your keyboard setup, while facing right, Arc Drive would be done with ASD+P. In numerical notation, it's 41236+C.

Not sure how you manage with WASD, but the input string would be:

{A, AS, S, SD, D} + [your C button]

Narcowski is correct: A, AS, S, SD, D. I was just being lazy so I just put A, S, D though, generally, you can just roll your fingers for this motion. You don't really have to double up on hitting motion keys (2 buttons at a time) on the keyboard unless it's for a 623/421 (DP/RDP motion).
