Can anyone give me a basic explanation of pressure, how to use it. and/or why it is useful?

Do an attack, instant pressure.  Makes opponents make mistakes.

Keep up a sustained assault on your opponent and attempt to pin them down. People tend to make mistakes if they crumble under pressure, it's all about learning how to deal with it.

You know how your in the corner and your oppenent in throwing all these attacks in an attempt to break your blocking and do damage to you. That pressure.

Not giving your opponent space, keeping them in a defensive position is pressure. Examples- keeping your opponent in the corner, and attacking while your opponent is down.
