This is a problem for me, and I don't know why. It most likely is a timing issue, but is it easier to do with A+D cuz I switched the the macro button but it didn't help.  :psyduck: Or is it because you have to dash after the combo to throw? I sometimes just do two J.a attacks to come closer and then throw...

Be sure that you're holding down JUST 4 or 6 when pressing Q or A+D.  You might have, at the time, accidentally held 7 or 9.

I dont think its a timing thing... since I just hold 4 or 6 and mash Q and it seems to still work :)

Make sure you're cancelling into the throw quickly and correctly holding 4/6 when pressing it and you should be fine.
