Maids - RPS setplay!

General tidbits:
  • Port 1 (Playerr 1) exclusive mixups.
  • Kohaku's jump startup is 5F, Hisui's is 4F
  • 22D maid swap is cancellable from normals
  • Assists have insurance (They persist even if the point gets hit)
  • Kohaku j,C assist is mid, has potential to setup PLAYER 1 only crossup, and is +18 OB at worse and more active
  • Hisui jC assist is overhead, used in unblockable setups in conjunction with Kohaku 236A which hits low. It is +1 on block at worst
  • Insurance makes Kohaku Plant & Molotov very scary, as well as sandwiched maid jc assists
  • Throwing before delayed assists put people into blockstun is a viable tactic that fatals shield attempts and keeps people in blockstun at an advantage even if they tech the throw
  • Hisui assist A/B stops fuzzy jumping or can frametrap, only -2


Hisui Specific
  • No pots, worse neutral than Solo Hisui
  • Arc drive is the only reversal, no answer to unblockables other than shield/jumpi
  • All versions of TK yaya are +
  • EX Dust sets up tag swap, multiple strike throw situations, gapless unblockable setups, heat tag swap combos on air hit
  • Charge 4B is an unblockable that must be shielded low, and has gapless pressure into it
  • 22C strong EX ender that leads into AT or Arc Drive > Plant
  • Has a 3 way mixup off air throw by either doing long drift j9, short drift j9, and long drift air dash back j9 j.c
  • Moon skill yayaya converts into a high damaging 4~5.6k combo, is minus 2 on block, and has a lot of clash frames on it. Loses to shields. Sometimes can eat through all of the armor of things like Tohno/Arc 5[C]
  • Charged arc drive does more damage, combo able after 22C > 2C> AD

Koha specific
  • Loses molotovs
  • Kohaku 2B+C (Cactus) 1st hit is overhead
  • Koha 236A is a low
  • Koha charge 236A essentially has the power to make all her rebeats -1 on block.
  • 236B wallbounces
  • Cactus in the corner sets up a heat combo
  • 236C is her main hard knockdown tool, but air ex molotovs are situationally useful as well
  • Arc drive is unlockable when charged
  • Johhny's main purpose is to setup an unblockable into hisui overhead assist

Not so much with Kohaku. For example if Kohaku is on point and performs 4BC assist (Hisui pot throw), the throw will get canceled if Kohaku is hit before the pots become active. However, the long startup time actually can work in your favor if you're in Moon Drive because the entire startup becomes clash-active.

Kohaku specific:

> Arc drive is unblockable when charged

Also un-shieldable.

> Loses molotovs

Loses GROUND molotovs. Still retains air molotovs.
