AZ Round Robin Closed Tourney (05.12.07)

Date is 05.12.07 because tourney ended after midnight.

Semi-Finals - Choco (Satsuki) versus vmoney (Warc)
Semi-Finals - Mailorder (Mech Hisui) versus ssjlonewolf/Jaxx (Nero)
Finals - Choco (Ciel, Satsuki) versus ssjlonewolf/Jaxx (Nero)

I have never run a round robin tourney before, so I may have done something very wrong in doing it. Either that, or it's a fresh and new way of doing things. Basically, everyone faces everyone one time for three matches. We record the number of matches won by each participate and add up the points at the end to determine who's in semi-finals. Top four make it (6-7 player tournament) into semis, best 3 out of 5 matched. Final is best 4 out of 7 matches.

Any comments and suggestions are welcomed!

... and I apologize to everyone here for using Ciel at all during the finals. Last time I fought Jaxx, I beat him when I was Ciel. So I use her trying to get victory. But in the middle (2-2) I said fuck it. Went back to my main because the win wouldn't mean much of anything if I didn't play my hardest on my best character. You can see the results for yourself in the video.

Thanks to the folks in IRC (especially magikarp9 and lain) for watching my match and giving me tips

- don't drop my b&b ; ;
- at max distance, use tk jetpacks and/or A-laser, not the A-missiles
- don't do random crossbow
- use j.BC j.CB for combos after 6C
- to air tech out of the corner, hold the stick TOWARD the wall.. -.-

random notes:
- gonna start using 22A/B/C more
- gotta start bara cancelling.. to 22A/C ?

...so perhaps using 22a/b/c more often isn't such a great idea?  I'm not a mech hisui player, so I don't really know...just mentioning what I've read.

I read those awhile ago and also believed they sucked.  But I've had good luck in using it when cornered, and I'm guessing they're going for a jump-in.  I think it's a nice mix-up from low jetpack, as long as I don't get predictable with it.

And it seems like it would be fine to use it after a bara, since the whip won't catch them if they're too close.

no point in baraing with Mech hisui unelss ur just gona do missle or EX lazer

plus barrier indeed sux, because its blockable in the air... and it has bad recovery...

TK jetpacks is the way to go for AA you jsut got to know how to use it... the way you were using ur jetpacks might hit yea... but its not realy the best way to use it... its not the Zone -> rush down tactic  :V

and learn to finish your combos...
