MBAA Detailed Analysis Live Streaming Sessions
« on: September 13, 2011, 10:12:48 AM »
Hey guys! I'm trying to get a weekly streaming match analysis session going on weekly in preparation not only for the dawn of 1.05, but for all the newer players everywhere and people in my scene trying to learn. I was going to do this roughly 3 months ago, but hey, you know..  :nyoro:

Anyways with that being said, as this will be detailed match analysis, it will be mostly intended for beginners, however i feel both veterans and pros alike can benefit from this, so don't shy away from my weekly project at all if you feel that's the case. This all being said, time to get to the actual schedule/plans.

The plan at the moment is to do a streaming session every sunday possible around roughly 3-5pm EST.
This is of course, subject to change due to people's needs and my school, but I feel this is the best day at the moment. If you feel otherwise, feel free to post why and when would be better for you.

For each session I will be taking a series of matches I consider to be either high level or have alot of information people can learn from, and will be taking requests on character videos of any specific characters or matchups or any other basic questions, so feel free to request. The idea currently is to start off simple and then branch off as/if this becomes more successful, so please tune in !

Unfortunately, Sunday at that time is one of the times I'm not available. Good luck though.

As for vids to look at I'd like to see some C-Aoko. Do you only accept youtube?

By the way anyone is free to give me any vids from nico or youtube, though i'll say i'll honestly prefer youtube because it's faster to load and overall easier to work with.

As for requests, I was planning on taking any sort of requests, such as abstract questions like pressure and the sort, but i'll start off simple and just commentate what I consider to be good/high level match videos. Anyone's free to link me anything, but if i think the level of gameplay is mediocre i'll probably just find another vid of the player myself to try and analyze in detail.

That said, keep it coming guys, I'll update this later today and I appreciate the support quite a bit.

Edit: Tim can you send me some vids of Kyou? They're kinda hard to find good sets with him for my quick searches; either he gets bodied, or just makes some super shitty/troll decision and loses for it.

Can't really find anything good lately, recent clearlamp danisen vids were pretty bad (mashy janson roa, boring chisui, etc), and bad gameacho set with bad players except one kaimaato part.

Those miraclein casuals were pretty good though, you should do a few of them instead of just part 5.

I assume these will all be recorded and uploaded as well, to be viewed by melty historians years later. Also for people like me who can't be bothered to clear their schedules.

I think Kyou plays a pretty solid F-Warc with just enough troll to keep people on their toes.
Fun to watch, just listen to the commentator during some of these. :laffo:
These are some of his better matches, all CC1.05.
If you don't like the level of play, weather Kyou's or the opponent's, feel free to deny my request. I just like watching F-Warc, and Kyou is the best one I've seen.
So if you feel like doing an F-Warc Ep., these are prolly the best source on the MB youtube.

Video list updated.

Some of the scheduled vids are probably going to have to make the next session though  :nyoro:

Edit:
I personally feel that Bunny F-warc in the casuals 3rd set plays really solid and doesn't really make the decisions he'll lose for against better players, check him out, i'll probably put him on stream

I agree, that F-Warc did good things. But the match-ups are real bad for her in that casuals set.
I'll save the discussion for your stream though, or at least till after it's done. She such great fun to play.

The only thing that stood out to me,is that at the beginning you pointed out the general flow of the matchup(F-Arc vs C-Nero),but then you stopped doing that.

I don't know if thats you being more familiar with F-Arc matchups, but I still think you couldve just taken each of the characters apart and explaining their strengths and and weaknesses.

You dont have to go into detail on how the characters interact with each other, just explain what they do and why its good for them to do it,instead of going 'oh,this char can do that!' in the middle of the match.

These are my 2 yens.

Sorry I missed part of your stream :-[. I was on the road and did not get back until you started doing danisen (I think it's spelled this way?) matches.
I watched the archive though, thanks for showing some F-Warc. Just to answer some things about F-Warc: :blah:
-236A is plus, only way for her to reset block strings without spending meter.
-When Kyou does otg into 421A teleport (Kyou Dance), it's to mix-up forward and (I think) neutral techs. Back techs are free neutral reset. I think he just auto pilots it, cuz its better in the corner.
-63214C cross-up or not is a gimmik block string mix-up. You have to be at extreme close range, or get hit for it to cross-up.
-236B is not plus (I think. Might be totally off base here.), but if she uses a good block string, it will leave you enough space to be safe. In general, F-Warc string/pressure ends after that special unless she EX-Cancels it. This is the way to make 623C plus on block :V. It's true that you can't disrespect it on block, but you can jump out and reset to neutral.
