This session will be postponed 30m-45m or so. And will be far shorter.
I'm sorry guys but I was pretty busy this week with Eight on the Break and school stuff. I'll look for more matches and the sort next week.  :nyoro:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO0Z0QPhXng&t=2m10s Good example of Highspeed neutral, even though he loses in the end they're still good matches.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwxsyu-Xbrs&t=2m20s Good example of what Cmech match is like. Little better in CC 1.00 cause her dmg was reduced but still kind of tough.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9ISlf4T518 Kind of shows why fighting len is kind of ass for him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qPizSYBgxQ&t=5m43s Taka wara, used to play wara like nanaya but hes gotten a lot better since then. I still think Highspeed's neutral is the best, but Taka has better pressure/oki IMO. (tends to mash more though). Taka also tends to be more aggressive, but find the style that suits you best qpunch.

I'll try to find more later. Probably more Taka, since his recent videos from now to 6 months ago are pretty good.

I don't know any specific gdlk player names for Hmiyako, but she's been played a lot recently so it shouldn't be too hard to find some footage--- However for Fryougi, there's only one I'll ever review, ever. Leo's.

Actually plays the game.

...Simplest way for me to put it, really... he doesn't roll his head all over the arcade stick and actually plays the game.

Dude I said Okaji, a jp top player was making shitty decisions. I could give less of a fuck how supposedly good someone behind the character is, the only way to do it is to judge the actual gameplay and decisions directly.

In that regard, Leo blocks, demonstrates space control, relies very little on gimmicks, doesn't mash like an asshole and hope his retarded normals win, knows many of his own options and his opponents and plays accordingly instead of just flying across the screen like a madman. Even some JP top players rated only Leo's Fryougi as top tier because he is supposedly the only Fryougi that actually plays her that way, and in my honest opinion, that's the way she's meant to be played, but the problem is that it's just easy to cross your fingers and play dumb with her with her numerous gimmicks and dumb normals.

Here's a match example I would do:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=famVX1L2ko8#t=9m50s

Leo and You both realize their lame styles and how they can't simply run at each other, and play accordingly and respectfully for the most part. Any other Fryougi i've tried to honestly watch hasn't demonstrated or even hinted such behavior.

What I think would be nice in future streams is a small section of your time dedicated to answering questions from people in the chat. Instead of having them interrupt you (like I did in the recent one) and having other people complaining about it. 30 minutes would be good enough at the end perhaps.

The meaning of 'OS' depends on what the context is. Not sure which 'OS' you are referring to. Is it something Roku said in a stream? In reference to his computer or MB? Ect...
However, I think your mean 'OS' in reference to MB. OS is an acronym used in MB to refer to option select.
Basic concept is that a player, P1, can enter one input on the controller and get a variable output action in the game which depends on the opponent's, P2's, actions.
This allows P1 to cover multiple options in a given situation.
Ex: P1 thinks that P2 will throw him, so P1 inputs 1A+D. This with throw tech if a throw was attempted by P2 or it will low shield if throw was not attempted by P2.

As for H-Miyako, she's actually getting played now?

Rokunaya:
I know that you like highly technical, cautious matches that demonstrate great character and matchup knowledge.  However, you should be aware that there are multiple playstyles that are effective at both top and lower levels of play.  The cautious, technical approach is only one of these, and only works alone when one player is clearly dominant to the other in terms of matchup or skill.  Few American players will reach a level where they can rely on this type of play, and it requires the longest learning time.

Granted, its better that new players begin by playing conservatively/defensively and trying to learn these skills (in regards to both learning the game and probability of victory).  However, I think you should also try doing an explanation of a match including a direct, yomi intensive player who is confrontational and forces guessing situations.  It's another playstyle and a skillset that is equally important to development as a fighting gamer.  Try explaining how such a playstyle affects the match and works.  I'd suggest a match with Luckystar, Kaimaato, or such players (i don't know jp players).  America wise, that'd be jiyuna, usually zaelar, sometimes me, and sometimes zar.  Also, it'd be a good idea to point out the yomi element in spacing that isn't that obvious to most people.  I only saw your first video to be honest, but it's my opinion from this that you explain things in too much of a "someone did this, so this is the counter" fashion.  From my perspective, the impressive point is "he knew the other guy'd do that, so he did the counter".  Knowing matchup and optimal options is in my opinion only a value modifier for the yomi situation that eventually decides the game.

Hey guys, my exams just finished yesterday so I won't have much time to prepare, but I DO plan to do a session again this weekend.

Since what we have are mostly Warakia videos, It looks like he'll be the main topic of the stream. I'm a big fan of Wara and have fairly good knowledge about him, so this will probably go well.

If time and preparation allows, I will also be covering the previous Dansien vids I did with Highspeed/Kou. I felt I did these no justice since they were really good sets and I didn't go into them without prior planning.

Stay tuned

Triple Post [sadlife]

I have family coming over today but I can make one hour aside for the stream no problem.
Since it'll be shorter than previous episodes i'll try to make it more detailed and planned, and if i have the stuff I want going we might see some "Maddenya"

I am going to push it back to later today though, and make it 7-8pm EST or so instead.
Thanks for the patience guys I should have free time again now that exams and the like are done, sorry about these last two weeks

I would recommend downloading the videos that you want to analyze and then use a player on your computer rather than youtube, so you don't have to deal with all of the hassles of streaming and waiting for the video to load or whatever.

I use Ant Video Downloader since it lets you download from NICO as well.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloader-player/

and good job as always

I loved the options analysis and madden lines. I have no particular requests, if you do high level matches its always interesting.   ;D
