I voted for Tuesday but any day besides Friday would be fine for me.  I think I already figured out everything in the first episode.  I'll watch anything to help me learn characters/combos/blocking, but I'm starting with C-Ryougi as a main and C-WLen as an alt (played them maybe 6-8 hours each so far, plus some other characters), so those would be most relevant to me.

Looking forward to this, since I haven't been able to find many noob-friendly guides/tutorials beyond the very basics.

Trying to pick up the game as a beginner (played MBAC for a while but not on any level near competitive). I'm good on TuThFrSatSun for the 7:00 to 9:00PM timeslot.

Edit: I'd love some overview on the basics, like blockstrings and what's going on in neutral.

Pressure and whatever else comes to mind

good choice, that seems like a good followup after "how to learn combos"

though if there's time for more, i think the moon differences segment (if you still think it's a good idea to try to cover that in a general way; like "this moon tends to play like this") should come first. it'd be a little weird to go from "this is how you get in, stay in, and be effective on offense... oh, and next week i'll explain the moons so you guys can pick a character"

it would probably be a pain to list exceptions for every rule you establish though. "crescent plays like this... except for these 6 characters. and also this one sort of counts but not really, i can't really explain it in a few words". so maybe instead, you could do a lightning-fast overview of the characters, and how their playstyles change between the moons? but that would still take really long, and wouldn't really be in the interest of teaching people how to play, besides for understanding matchups a little bit. it also wouldn't age well so maybe forget that

can you give us more details on this press release?

Another random note, you should add a summary of what's covered in each episode in the youtube description.

Ninja edit: Also, a random thing you might want to do in the future episodes that focus on one particular thing is show examples of this in videos.  I don't know if you did it in episode 2 cause I haven't watched it, but it's something that you might want to keep in mind

Practice combos before you demonstrate them  :prinny: Either that or just go for a EZ confirm

I feel like you need to practice your script a little more, there were a of tangents and stuff; you probably just winged it?

Anyways decent episode, could have been planned a little better IMO
<Graven> When you are Ciel, don't try to win, don't even try to do anything. The more you do, the stupider and bigger faggot you become because you're using Ciel.
<WyvernLord> roku is faking his disappearance so melty bread can come out and try to convince him of his value to the community

I actually wrote out the entire plan, executing it was shit because i was so tired and sick though. I probably should have waited to do this another day really.

I wasn't satisfied with my last stream, I wasn't ready for it physically and that caused alot of issues. I'm going to wait until later in the week where I'm healthier and cover the same topics again and put that up on the archives.

Week being on the weekdays hopefully. Either way I'm going to do that episode again for sure.

Oh, and might want to consider having someone as a TA. Kind of hard to demonstrate stuff like pressure with a dummy.

Just watched the 2nd episode and outside of you being sick, internet issues, etc, I think you did a pretty good job. You did a good job explaining pressure on a basic level, which I'm sure is no easy feat, especially since you're catering to beginners at the moment. Yeah, it was a bit long-winded, but I think it's also good that you took your time as some people just need more time for things to sink in than others.

Maybe I missed it (or my memory just sucks, which is just as likely) but did you go over mixups? Just explaining overheads and how jump-ins need to be blocked can be useful to know if the beginners don't understand how they can put these types of moves in their blockstrings. Also, if possible, maybe mention some characters with feints, command runs, command grabs, and other things that they could use in their pressure. Oh, and following up on a raw air throw, if that wasn't already covered, that shouldn't be too difficult to introduce.

I think you said you plan on starting match analysis next time, but I suggest going over some intermediate (advanced?) concepts if you're done with the basic stuff. Fuzzy guard, option selects, and other high level concepts that might be commonly mentioned around here. Later on when you do match analysis, maybe you can explain how each character is generally played BEFORE the actual analysis, so that way newer players know what they are looking at. Since there are a lot of characters I don't think anyone expects you to cover every single character's playstyle, but an introduction would be nice when you feature them in a match video.

And yes, please get someone to help you demonstrate some of these concepts.

This saturday will be a re-do of last week's episode but far more planned out. I wanted to try and run it today instead and try making some quick analysis saturday, but I've decided to raise the overall quality of this program for everyone involved, so I won't be doing that. Depending on how school treats me, this might become bi-weekly if I try to raise the quality of the episodes, but you'll all have to stay posted on that. For now, I'm just trying to up this stream's quality, and i feel that because of that last week's episode needs a dire makeover. Sorry for anyone that doesn't want to watch the same topics twice, I just feel that I need to do this if I want to make this program more serious in the future.

Cheers and thanks to everyone and your continued support.

Cacchin episode. Fund it. Also common option selects. Think you missed Full Moon whiff IH and and Full Moon air dash cancels. Also, Broku too good at escaping pressure.
