No F-Len discussion yet? As far as I can see, F-Len got nothing but buffs with 1.05/1.07 Current Code. Now that Melty Blood fights take place on a trampoline, it's much easier to combo off of horizontal reflectors. (Reflectors combos do delicious amount of damage. :D)

Also, with the new OTG-heavy game physics, there's a lot more opportunity to get good opportunities to set up reflectors.

I am noticing these from gameplay vids, so I don't know what exactly changed. Anyone could help with that?

It's not triple rondo. You just do 623ab (canceling the kick) and input 623a again as soon as the cancel animation start, canceling the animation itself and beginning a new rondo. If you perform it well enough it's almost invisible... still unsafe and quite useless, but oh well.

Is there such a thing?I am intrigued.

First impression on c-len:

semi-controllable j2C is useful to some extent.
Makes her air dominance a bit better but if somebody shield it and throw,the punish is simply too much.

j236{B} is quite useful.
BE4B is good and useful.otg relaunch.perfect for corner scenarios.
No more 2 black cats.loses ground dominance for nothing.
Orbs are only for dmg/meter increase as it will hit only after a successful hit.The summon frames are quite long too.
EX ice is shieldable.tI dont know if its a recent change,but i dont like that at all.  :gonk:
Still no proper blockstring.Still no proper reversal.

But since i am a scrub my opinion hardly matters.

Hey guys hope we can all develop len together.

Personally I really len for her normals and interesting command set, It seems she capable of controlling most of match momentum, (similar to strider in MvC2).

In my last section i was getting bombed by my relatives C-Kouma. I was using c-len but my approach was pretty bad. The only sit i felt comfortable was enduring kouma atack strings and gound footsie. Sadly I did'nt know how to manage every thing else. Barly use cats, was to conservative with meter, and did not know how to capitalize on air counters.
Though I just learned about OTG so I'llll be developing on those situations, But what are your views on combos with len. Due to her damage modifier I simply like to focus on meter building since she can get 2/3k effortlessly  and 4k and beyond is situational( do go for big damage if opponent has huge life lead or combo will KO).
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Funky-kun January 01, 2012, 09:10:12 AM
Judging by my limited experience, you should have air dominance against Kouma, and you should try to capitalize on it. When you are at a safe distance, set up a black cat to try and cover the ground. Tin cat is stronger against other chars, like Nero and Wara.

As for combos, here are some off the top of my head:

2a5c(4 hits)2b4c jbc jbc AT (basic BnB)
2a5c(5)623b 5c(5) jbc jbc AT (corner combo)
2a5c(4-5)4b 236c BE236a 5c (4-5) jbc jbc AT (100 meter combo for damage, should be getting 4.5k and above)
2a5c(4-5)4b high 236c 214b (black cat) 5a5c(1-2) jbc jbc AT (throw them on the cat for knockdown)

Also you can end a midscreen 236c combo with 2b for knockdown, and try dodge mixups or telport mixups (teleport behind them, fake jump 2b, etc.).

After you end a combo in the corner with airthrow, you can easily punish all 3 options. When you get your opponent to respect you, start throwing tin cats on them. You can throw them between the hits or go for a fuzzy:

deep jc -> 2b4c aircombo / jc j2c land 5a5c combo

j236c is good for range punish, but C-Kouma doesn't have many things to punish except for heat activation. I don't think the orb special has any good uses. Overall H plays pretty much the same with the added bonus of 5a6aa for better blockstrings, her 5b is better (hits low) and has h-moon bunker, which is one of the few ways Len can get out of pressure.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: keobas January 01, 2012, 06:15:42 PM
@Funky-kun

Thanks for the heads up.
Your combos look like good place to start. Though I must say I like orbs as they can potentially extend certain combos. What are lens options against the techs I've seen how player are afraid to tech.

I see how H-len play and its decent but Half moon is not for me. C-Len has tools I prefer.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Funky-kun January 01, 2012, 11:44:48 PM
236c catches all tech options and leaves you safe (even OTGs some characters). I don't think she has a catch-all no meter option, but I might be wrong. Neutral punish is beaten by dash in normal (5b/5c), back punish is pretty much the same, but with delay. If your opponent techs away from the corner 5c can easily catch  them.

I like C's loli hammer better than her orbs. :P Now it even OTG relaunches.  :D

I never knew that techs had vulnerable frames. I have hard time wrapping my head around the mixup, and pressure game. Don't even get me started on hit confirm.

I don't think she has a catch-all no meter option, but I might be wrong.

After airthrowing in the corner, land short dash 2a6b (2a catch no tech, 6b hit neutral tech, turn into 4b if the opponent forward tech). Timing is pretty strict.

All you really need is 5b5c. If they tech either way, 5b stays out long enough to punish both and hit confirm into 5c. If they don't tech, you get OTG into tincat. Too easy.

@Xianoir

You can't catch people teching neutral with the same timing of 5b5c that would catch people teching backwards.

@Seyluun

Yes, I remember reading about this tech punish way back in MBAC days, but never played enough Len to learn to do it properly.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Xianoir January 05, 2012, 07:49:32 AM
Dunno about you, I do it all the time.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Funky-kun January 05, 2012, 07:54:44 AM
I would love to learn how to do it then.

Can you record a combo with your tech punish into the dummy, then manually tech to all three directions while the dummy tech punishes you? Then upload it so I can see the timing.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Xianoir January 05, 2012, 08:10:15 AM
Why would you tech backwards in a corner?
It's not about timing your attack so that you don't have to work for an easy tech punish. It is always going to be based off reaction of where they tech.
After airthrow, just wait. If they tech, you get punish, until they learn to stop teching. When they finally do, you get free Oki. It's not hard to react techs and punish with 5C, even that is more than enough for an easy tech punish.
If you got extremely good reactions, then just buffer 236 after you land, and press C if you see them tech.
Len is known for her tech punishes, that's why no one techs against her. It's also conditioning, and part of her mind games, but it's not free.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Funky-kun January 05, 2012, 08:20:03 AM
I am fully aware that you can react to techs, and  the mindgames associated with them. That's why I mentioned what can be used to punish each case in one of my previous posts. What I was looking for was the option select to punish all directions, which apparently is dash 2a6b.

H-Len combos? I dug around and I found a bnb for her with the tk236{b}: 5a6a5c2b5b4b tk236{b} sj.bc dj.bc AT, but I also read there's a throw loop that's essential. Unfortunately most of the combos in videos I've found with H-Len are improvised or something. (Also, seems to drop if don't omit the 5b; also struggle to get all the hits of the aerial portion.)

Any other important info also appreciated; seeing how far I can get with this cat... before I drop her and then attempt to pick up another.
: Re: [MBAACC] Len Discussion
: Sashi April 18, 2012, 12:24:47 AM
Corner loop is something like 5A4B 2A(whiff) j.B IAD Airthrow.

As for combos... Go for old school Double Ice combos! Aw yeah, Len's the best. But really, Len combos are so freestyle. You can do anything and have it work. I'm pretty sure 5C(4) 5A6AA 5A6AA tkj.236[B] Aircombo works, which is hilarious and looks badass. Also, H Moon TK Ice is overpowered.

I'm having a lot of trouble getting the rethrow combo down with H.

Is there a delay timing on the 5a link?  Do the amount of reps change depending on the starter?  Difficulty changes between each character?

I'm just going with this route:
(Starter hit) 2B * 4B jB 66 AT 5A(1) 4B 2A(whiff) jB 66 AT 5A(1) 4B 2A(whiff) jA jC dj jB jC.
Throw 5C(3) AT and then the same as above.
* = delay

Main trouble I'm having is getting the jB after the first rethrow.  Seems like the character's too high for it to reach or something.  If I do happen to get it, the 5a on the next rep is difficult.

: Setsu February 14, 2013, 04:58:56 AM
I haven't played this character in a long time but as far as I can remember you had to delay the airthrow after the airdash a bit or they would end up too high.
