So now tactical question, what kinds of methods do you guys use to keep the pressure on while prying for an opening?

~M
I'd like to know aswell, i think my biggest problem is lack of basic presure understanding and such X_X

I like to use 236C after a blockstring to keep up the pressure but i think it is so predictable that my brother can actually shield it.... so use it sparingly. Can try to a tigerknee 236 a/b after a blockstring to keep up the pressure. After the tigerknee 236a/b , you can either air dash and attack from above or come down and attack from below. But i cant do a consistent tigerknee on the keyboard so i seldom use it, try it at your own risk.

Sometimes stagger 5C 2C or 2C 5C.

Take advantage of mixing up 214A/B, IAD back in, or dash back in - you have 3 good options to keep the opponent on lockdown.

2A isn't always the smartest thing to start with.

5C as a dash in catches them out of their jump.

5C as a meaty eats people who jump on getup.

Take advantage of her double airdashes for trix.

What kinds of things do you guys do with your frequent flyer miles (Aircombos?)  It seems like she has much more than just jA jB jA jB jC available to her, but the need of jC's knockdown seems to limit other options.

I think that j.a j.b j.a j.b j.c is her best dmg combo outside of the  ones where you do  3 j'b's though i dunno the dmg for that. but really i think its best to just use whatever hits them  given the situation and such  because the dmg difference isnt all that big anyways . . . or maybe that extra 150 dmg or so from doing say jab jabc instead of jab jbc is game breaking.

btw i kinda like just spaming ja and then a random jb or jc for kicks.

I have a question, why tk 22c after a 623b loop isntead of a normal 22c on the ground? Also, by tk 22c, its 23692c? or can i just make do with a 282c to get it off just as i leave the ground from the 8?

The recovery from j.22C vs 22C is a huge difference. IIRC you don't get any pros to using the ground 22C (unlike Akiha, where it doesn't disappear if you use the ground version and get hit). The input should be 228C for a TK 22C.

Ahh thanks!

One more question, regarding chaining an OTG combo after an air combo ending with j.C, I'm aware you require dash momentum? Seems like if I dash immediately after I land and spam 2a, I end up too slow to follow up with an OTG string.. Am I inputting the dash too late or something?

One of two things:
a) You're too far from the corner.
b) You're inputting 2A too slow.

Thanks magz, seems like I really was inputting the 2a too slowly.. I didn't realise the timing was that tight!
Oh well back to practice.. Gotta get my pressure strings in order.. Too many openings in my attacks at the moment :(

Replays are very helpful as I can see what the correct inputs are. Thanks for taking the time to make 'em.

There's nothing to fear now.

Yea it helps alot to actually see the whole thing instead of reading 2a x 5 > 5bb > etcetc

and god that otg string is hard to do..

Hmm, assuming I fail to execute my otg string properly and the victim techs out, anything I can do to prevent a free combo on me? Sometimes I get caught doing a 2c as he techs out and I eat a combo :/

Nope, you get hit >.>. Even if they don't tech, messing up 5bb or something will let them give you a nice hefty bit of damage.

Ciel is tough. Always be cautious of EX stuffz. Don't throw out 236C, it can be instantly punished by her seventh heaven. You got to camp without making it obvious that you're camping. >.> It's hard to describe. Just look for the knockdown, and rush that shit down.

Why is the matchup against nero classified as rape? I always thought that nero is hard to fight for v akiha?
