: Mashing buttons during Arc Drive and Last Arc
: eastheaven December 19, 2007, 06:06:52 PM
So I was playing around in Training Mode, and I noticed that if the grab of the Arc Drive or Last Arc connect, if you mash A, B, or C(or Q) during this time, the hits make the sharp sound that her grab makes, instead of the firey sound they normally make.  Another effect of the mashing is that it adds combo hits and damage to the Arc Drive, and lowers combo hits and damage from the Last Arc.

Any ideas on what this could all be about?  I'm pretty sure it doesn't steal life from the opponent(that was my first idea, since it made the same sound as the life-stealing grab), because I tried it in versus after losing some HP.

Just wondering what it was all about.

It's there for the dramatic effect, it LOWERS the damage you deal during the Arc Drive.

Your definition of a "Last Arc" is incorrect - did you mean Another Arc Drive?

For Akiha's arc drive, it actually increases the damage overall for normal arc drive, but decreases the damage overall for the blood heat arc drive. Rather than mashing, there's a specific timing to them.

Huh, well.
I meant in Arc Drive, it increases damage and than in Blood Heat Arc Drive, it decreases damage.
