Proration List + Strategy Discussion -
« on: December 30, 2007, 03:17:05 AM »
The contents of this thread aren't revolutionary.
Just some notes for future reference that might be helpful for those looking to improve their damage output even just by a couple hundred points.

Note to anybody working the wiki: This information should be in the notes section to the right of her frame data.

5A - 75%
5BB - 100% 70%
5[ B ] - 100% 70%
4C - 100%
5C - 90%
6C - 75%

2A - 65%
2BBB - 85% (3 hits) 85% (3 hits) 75% (last hit)
2C - 60%

j.C - 80% Relative
j.B - 90%
j.A - 72%

236A/B/C (Ground and Aerial) - 70% (100% at start of 236C but dies to 70% by the last hit.)
214A/B - 80%
214C - 96% Relative (Unconfirmed)
623A/B - 100%
623C - 100% 100% 100% 60% Relative
22A/B/C Ignition - 100%

41236C (Both Versions) - 100%

214D - 100%

We can derive from these entries a few tips to maximize damage by just a tad.

  • If you have the opportunity, don't open your combos with 2A or 2C (they are the easiest lows to open with though considering 2B doesn't hit low). If your opponent is wide open, go for a 4C or 5C to start.
  • Off of a landed j.C in the corner. Assuming proper spacing, use the following setup for maximized damage on her momiji loop on a crouching opponent: j.C Land 4C 5C 5B (replaces 2C) 623B Loop. 5B can still knockdown an opponent that was hit while standing if he/she ducks anytime before th 5B (need to check this). This effectively sets the proration to 78% for the first 623B instead of 60% (an overall increase of about 200 damage in the end).
  • Some characters can take a free 5B before the 2C in the momiji loop thus netting free damage and meter. Ex: Warakia
  • Don't expect to do much damage off of 623C especially if your combo opened 2A or you linked 2C before it. The only thing that would make this worth it would be the eventual pit setup on the opposite side of the screen or pit setup + relaunch combo in the corner (you can cast pit instantly after last hit of 623C land and then relaunch + OTG).

Bah, Satsuki has a much more interesting/important proration setup than V >_>

Looks like I have some work to do tonight.  I'll get these plugged in soon.  Red is relative, right?

Relative ones are labeled as relative.

Ah, missed that one.  Thank you.

Is 2C intentionally omitted from that combo for the momiji loop?  I'm not familiar with that loop (whee being out in information blackout hell) so does the 5B serve as the knockdown before the 623B?

Updated the post.

The 5B replaces the 2C to start it off since 5B causes knockdown on crouching opponents (this needs to be specified in the wiki as well).

Doing 5B 2C on crouching opponents doesn't do the most damage on the momiji loop?
Keep climbin', gotta get to the top

Tested on crouching Warakia. (Parenthesis indicate no damage reduction.)
