Replays and Advice here!
« on: May 26, 2008, 07:37:41 PM »
Hello people! Here's a few replays of me losing to my friend Small (until recently, his Chaos was the only one capable of kicking my ass reproducibly, now his Kohaku has gotten better and he's using that cheap down+C thing when I'm OTG). I'm winning consistently against both his characters at the moment, I'll post some replays later so you guys can see whether I'm going about the right way. I'm going to use a new fingering that places my index finger on top of the shield button, since it seems to be a very useful thing in high level play, so I'll be losing probably from now on.

Feel free to post your stuff here too. I want to see how others play.

Your playing doesn't have any kind of logic to it. Read up on some of the basic mechanics of the game and learn her combos and pressure.

I think some advice would still be helpful. With that said, I need some too.
I'm having some difficulty operating V.Akiha =/

If I were you, I'd focus on:

1) Loop combo. You need to be able to do it consistently. Don't just throw out 623B cause you get combod for free if they block it.
2) Flame ribbons. Without them your air game is gimp. Randomly catch them on a ribbon, you can follow it up with half-ass combo, knockdown and otg.
3) proper air combos, practice otg after that.
4) strings, TK flame ribbons, IADs.

Get ready for a lot of time in practice mode :P
There's nothing to fear now.

This whole forum is filled with tons of information, it's a waste not to read it.
