Kohaku Videos
« on: December 12, 2007, 08:41:09 PM »
Those of us that have been subscribed to the daruism videos have noticed this awesome Kohaku player appearing in them, Nakau.  He plays both solo Kohaku and maid pair with Kohaku on point, though recently he's been going only solo for whatever reason.  Anyway, imo he's probably the best Kohaku right now, as he has some really good zoning with neutral jump control, consistently does that IAD j.ca rejump combo and runs some of the most ridiculous mixups ever.

Be sure to check out 071112 3_1(vs. the Ren) where he somehow pulls off a turbo charged Magical Amber.  I wonder if that's a bug?

Haven't seen it, but is it the dashing shielding magical amber?  If so then it's simply dash momentum.
<Xenozip> actually i think miyako was intuitive for linalys
<Xenozip> simple because his playstyle is.. well..
<Xenozip> linalys

What's bugged about that magical amber?

Let's see, Kohaku has Len pinned down at the corner. She uses a 236B and chains it to a 22C. She attempts a blockstring, jumps and releases MA.

I believe you're total airthrow fodder if they jump quickly enough...

Psylocke is refering to when Kohaku dash shields len's black cat, then cancels the shield into 214b (around 1:40). Seems like the broom retains the momentum from the dash after a dash shield.

IIRC, EX-Shielding allows you to cancel into another move, right? But is that an IAD 214b or just a normal 214b?
At a time like this... I WISH I HAD A DIGITAL CAMERA!

When he landed, he immediately shielded Ren's cat, and also immediately(or in other words, chained)214B.
:o
I got surprised when I saw him do it. I haven't seen a person like him that did a thing like that. :slowpoke:

Zomg! Kohaku Loop!

Tried replicating the loop. Having difficulty connecting the double battou at the beginning of the string (If it's even possible), from the 632146C 5A 236 BB. It's either the margin is extremely small and situational on the B, or this has been patched over. Feels situational, since battou placement depends on a certain wall distance away. Doesn't hit as well on short characters either.

Any ideas?
