ahaha that's no--wait, what?
: Nanaya Stuffs

One thing I noticed when watching Veteru play was that he used none of Nanaya's Special moves. Is there anything wrong with that? I always though tthat his teleport stuffs made him really unpredictable because the startups for them are all the same. You dont know whether its an overhead, straight shot, or grab. I noticed not alot of Nanaya B-Heat stuffs either. The move itself is pretty sick considering if your hair touches Nanaya you are damaged. Im pretty new to the game and I didnt notice so many different people played MB, so I know I sound kinda funny but please offer help.

His AAD isn't that great.
If you let it touch you, once you see your character turn the other direction, 2AB dodge and that's it.

I like to use 22A's during blockstrings sometimes or 22C's in the corner i guess after a blockstring.

Veteru's invisible reply says the risk/reward ratio in using his special moves is not worth it.  The damage you get from doing 214a/b/c 22a/b/c mixup is too little for the danger you expose yourself to for using them.

His Arc Drives are blockable. I've tested it out personally. I couldn't believe my eyes.  :slowpoke:

AD is, but not AAD.

Though it's easy as hell to avoid, even if you're in a corner and he uses it right on top of you.

Ab bit late, but that's not correct.
214A results in a longer pre-dash stance of Nanaya, 214B is pretty much the fastest of his teleport attacks and 214C is like 214A, only with the Sabaku (doesn't this mean "sand" btw?) speech.
Same goes for his 22 moves. 22A is fast and teleports pretty much instantly, 22B has a longer pre-dash pose and then teleports in the air, 22C only does the pre-dash stance. You can cancel this one at any time, even into another dash to confuse the opponent.

You can't cancel 22C into anything; it just recovers really fast. You can actually use it as a whiff cancel. It's kind of ghetto, since it's two frames slower than 5A and has no whiff chain options, but it also carries no reverse beat penalty.

Probably worth using more on opponents you think you can outplay meta-wise, as:

22C is a really good fake, the problem is that the moves its faking are not very good. 214B is a good special but has little application in spots where you would be using 22C to mix up. 22A and B have limited but non-zero application (for example, you can use 22A to beat backdashes and 22B to beat someone trying to anti-air an IAD). 214A and 214C just suck.

For what it's worth, Veteru has admit to me that he thinks he doesn't use 214B or 236A enough.

If you're using a lot of 22C it becomes possible to sneak in 214A/C once or twice. Against some people you may be able to spam it a bit more but it's something that differs a lot from person to person.
