some White Ren videos we discovered recently.. Rasuki is a beast!

Just to clarify, this is Geo no Hito, not Rasuki (as you can probably tell from the very different styles)
Wakeup DP into j.236C for 3k damage and 236[A] + j.[C] keepaway for victory :V
-
Man, everytime I see another White Ren video, the playstyle of the WR is completely different. I guess there are so few White Ren players, even in Japan, that there's no centralized strategy for her.
-
it seems in VerB2 White len have free movement after j[C] which makes her more mobile and such, and the 2B -> 623A ->2C 623A is a very interesting combo as well... maybe only fore verB2?? but anyways.. some interesting combos by Rasuki
-
White Len is getting slowly better...YES

more White Ren action, just one video though

Are there any Japanese videos where White Ren doesn't get murdered?
-
Yeah, maybe I should post them. IIRC those are B1 where she was.
TOTAL ASS

I was browsing around some random matches and this one particularly caught my attention: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mlSf-tL8CAE
The pressure and mixups are just insane, especially the otg strings. Close, but no cigar. :'(

That video reminds me of that thread : http://www.meltybread.com/forums/index.php?topic=749.0 (http://www.meltybread.com/forums/index.php?topic=749.0)
It seems like that white len player doesnt combo after 236C 2[C] to set up stronger okizeme.
Interesting.

heres a video of me vs my friend...
gotta watch out for kouma's bara 214c... :psyduck:
-
Kouma is an insanely hard matchup for wlen if he can bara. I've been having the same difficulties recently. The entire 623 moveset becomes unsafe outside of combos. The only advice I can give is to throw in some 22C fakeouts, but if he whiffs 214C and eats ice you're not going to make much damage off the punish. Practise your timing with the fakeout so you can punish the 214C whiff for full damage. But eventually you're going to have to move in with 623 again and it basically becomes a gamble as to whether he wants to gamble on his dunk or not.

Alright guys, just in time for Christmas, here's the White Ren video guide that I've been working on for the past few weeks. Hope you all enjoy it, it was a very fun yet difficult learning experience making this.

EDIT: The 4c in the first cornered throw combo is supposed to be 4b.. thanks to linalys for pointing this out
-
Psylocke, you rock with that tutorial. Lately I've been messing around with W.Len and thats the kinda video I was hoping for some inspiration on how to mixup my game a little bit more.

This is the standard in Wlen playing right here sir. All other Wlen tutorials look up to this one, and ashamed of what they lack, delete themselves.

Random White Ren video I found:
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1992731
The WRen player is pretty good. The forward tech punish at 2:22 is a really clever way to make OTG string into meaty 236[a] safe if opponent decides to tech. Also, I'm not really sure why WRen wasn't able to land the EX command throw at 3:04

WRen player in newest MBHP 3on3 set, check out the combo at 3:20, she combos into a 2b(2hit) after a 623a. Had no idea it was possible

wooo White Ren one character comeback in newest MBHP set. Shiro's the player, he seems to be appearing more often nowadays. There's probably a reason why he sometimes goes for a long OTG string after knockdown in corner rather than meaty 236[a], but I don't really know why, lol
-
Yeah, Shiro is a pretty cool player, he's my W.Len idol atm.

omg another White Ren OCV, this time in a 3on3 tournament against a Kouma only team. Anyone know who the player is?
EDIT: The video is from shakuji, for anyone that wants their own copy of this video

Come Or Die(the guy that made the old PS2 MBAC Akiha combo movie Anubis and the White Ren midscreen ground throw combos) just made an amazing White Ren combo video here, with lots of really interesting mixups. The editing makes it a bit hard to see some of them at times, but overall it's great. There's a Player2 crossup exploit, some fun crossup shenanigans with 214c, some mixups off blocked 236[a] xx 236c and a variation of the setup that Tropsy was talking about in the WRen setups thread. lol @ the bad Engrish in the introduction
Also, if you want a direct download of this movie, it's at Come or Die's homepage in the movie section

The "liberation" clips with the j.[C] basketball coming down on oki allow you to counter wakeup heats. There's the "reverse hit confirm" where kubo did meaty 2As on wakeup which whiffed so he shield canceled. Doing that all the time would make your 5A/2A get wakeup shielded though. However if the basketball whiffs through them (regardless of you doing anything), you know they're using something with invincibility (wakeup heat) and you can respond accordingly. There's probably other options available too for different situations. If they just block, they're forced into hitstun (is j.[C] level 3?) and it seems like you'd get enough time to confirm that into a mixup.

Shakuji held a 4on4 tournament a while back, and someone was nice enough to upload all of the videos(though they're split weird) to nico douga. Mainly notable because of one of the teams, a Ren/Ren/WRen/WRen team, making it to finals. Shiro and Bobu are the WRens, and Yoshino and some other player that I don't recognize are the Rens, so having the best Japanese Ren and two of the best WRens on the same team is pretty cool.
http://shakujii.jp/mbac_08_3_23.htm
These vids are mainly a Bobu showcase.. Shiro doesn't get to play much. Bobu really shows off the power of 623[a] delay cancel into 214b j.214a.

The irc niggas need to stop the white len hatin.
Why do these players always heat her ex command throw? Wasting all your meter AND eating a full combo as punishment, seems like it would be a better idea to just take the hits.

Probably because they think they can use invincibility to hits to be invincible to grabs...

Sup, Alternate275 match videos. I REALLY REALLY LIKE W.LEN
Now I'm having a lot of trouble operating W.Len and I could use a LOT of advice.
