Loop of Doom: Aoko
« on: August 26, 2008, 07:20:03 AM »
Compared to everyone else, Aoko seems to float up pretty high after EX Air Grab, 2C5C. So I can't connect another standard Air Grab afterward to continue the loop. :o

Anything else I can connect with?

First of all unless you're in MAX, you should never use 2 EX air grabs in 1 combo since it wastes meter. Also if the 623B isn't hitting because Aoko is too high it's because you're not timing the 2C5C right. 5C should be delayed slightly.

I realize more then one EX move begins to be pointless, but I just wanna be able to at least finish the full loop for that little extra bit of damage.

Aoko is the only person I'm having trouble with in this spot of the combo, Even if I happen to EX Air Grab the Neko's I can connect the 263B.

I think I'd have to see a replay or something.

Attached replay. You have to delay the 5C for quite a bit.

In addendum to that; Don't just delay 5C against Aoko. Try to get into the habit of delaying it against everyone.

A later 5C makes followups more reliable, airthrows lower for improved okizeme options, and in some cases makes combos possible at all (e.g. hit too early/high with 5C and even the standard 214A followup will whiff against certain characters).
Blah.

Actually...I'm not so sure super low airthrows are the best anymore. I've been messing around 4956. I still can't seem to get the standard backdash mixup and 4956 mixups to work at the same airthrow heights though. So I may just be wasting my time.

Edit: Nevermind, I can get to work if I have 100% meter.

Edit 2: And if I omit my usual 5b from the meterless BnB.

Edit 3: I think it actually does work for really low airthrows...the spacing is kind of a bitch though.
