Guh...mizuumi seems to be down again. See you guys tomorrow or something.
zar are you even aware that your attitude is what drove people off in the first place. i think zar's attitude is worse than all of that. cause neither of you guys mean anything. but zar can poison shit around him. zar's the one that gets personal online and does realtalk that's out of line.

Hmm learning how to manage time a bit better.

Anyway, #mages-association has been popping lately and we have been averaging 15 ppl in the evenings (EST). Good to see new and closet aoko users show up to the chan. I have some big plans for the channel's future. Hope you Aoko users out there can make the most of what I'm offering.

Of course the topic as of late has been about Aoko's many delicious forms in MBAA so Feel free to drop by and share any aoko info you may have (mbac , mbaa). I also still give 'sessions' for those getting started or want to add some new tricks to their oki arsenal.

I've got you beat, i just started learning aoko(and really melty blood) yesterday! What time are people usually on th emages association channel? I've been on it on and off for the last couple days and i just see magikapr, zetzubo, and yenniku idling. I'd love to get some tips/hands on learning(most likely in the form of face beatings) with aoko.

I don't even know how to find the channel XD...I just got irc, never knew what it was before hand. ^^' I mostly play people on xfire. Of course they all have at least a year experience and no good Aoko player there let alone any real Aoko users other than me. :(

The Mage's Association is mostly dead now. Everyone quit MBAC and are waiting for MBAA. Also it dies every time Zar goes into hibernation regardless.

Ugh, dammit you two lol (drama/tolore).

Starting MBAC when AA is just around the corner? Well, I can't necessarily say that's a bad thing but from my brief experience with AA aoko is a bit different in some respects but unchanged in other areas. The new system makes her movement feel a bit more loose and unrestricted. It also kind of makes some of her oki a bit "trickier" with the sdj's and air dodges and such. But it also makes for some more advanced techniques if you're creative. C and H moon Aoko play closest to MBAC aoko (H moon deviates slightly) while F moon feels like a different character altogether and many of the techniques you learned in MBAC many not even be applicable here.

In my opinion, learning and understanding basic concepts in AC such as how okizeme works (how and when to apply it) utilizing movement for spacing, proper zoning and orb spam, baiting on wakeups, Anti-airs, tech punish, etc. wouldn't be a complete waste of time when trying to make the transition to AA. It's just going to feel a bit..."different". (others may disagree w/e).

However if you don't really care about AA or don't intend to play seriously and would be fine with just AC aoko then I can point you guys in the right direction with a couple of vid links and maybe answer some some posts when I'm not too busy.

As for the #Mages-Association......................................It's been unofficially disbanded. My deepest apologies to the hardcores that remained when I disappeared/went AWOL (except you, Karp  :P). IRL stuff, irl stuff, you know how it goes. But yes, it was still a pretty douchey move for me to not say anything even upon returning- BUT I love aoko just as much as you do (maybe more) so it's cool, right?  :'(

AND I'm considering on "re-opening" the channel upon MBAA release but don't hold me to this please. If it does happen I'd have to assign some mods for the channel to keep things organized, active and alive during my absences. Just cus ZAR isn't in the channel doesn't mean you all can't fag it up with aoko fanboy/strat chat (which is what I want  :-*)

To Drama & tolore

I leave you some links to help you get started in MBAC and wish the best of luck. がんばれ!ファイト!

Ok, not so much gimmicky but requires some sharp reflexes and subtle timings on the otgs (which I failed to explain lol). I think it's best for viewing the otg combo options though.

Haha yeah, it's a pretty poor time to start the game but I've suddenly got a huge surplus in free time and I've always wanted to play MB.

So my biggest problem with aoko so far(other than freezing up and trying to remember what to do when I score knock down, but that'll come with experience) is the neutral game. I basically just spam 2b and instant air dash backwards with 236A. I have no real idea of what to poke with, or how to stop myself from getting cornered. I also don't know what to do under heavy pressure, looking at her tools I assume parry and maybe 3C? she seems pretty poor on the defense(which is not really surprising considering her offensive and zoning options).

I suprisingly can do some of this....the loop gives many options especially if you see they are not going to tech.

There are a few more but I'm not 100% of their locations so I omitted them. You'll just have to ask around on the MBAC channel and connect with players who have the most desirable ping. Also I posted a few more vid links that you can check out in my post before this one. xshitarax has like 50 aoko mirror matches on his channel as well if you're into that sort of thing.

I am told I play too defensive, but her 623a is a good anti-air and you can try doing iad forward 236a into the Roman cancel...Also what I used to do when I froze up when I scored a knockdown and forget what to do was simply this: place an orb 214 or 421. I think 421 is more useful if you want to try to regain momentum after you freeze.

I was messing around in training mode and noticed you don't have to hold the button you used to keep the orbs up you just have to hold a button. So if I set the A orb I can press B and then hold B and release A and the orb won't pop(and I can have two orbs up with just one button), does that actually come into play at all, it seems like it could be really useful, but really hard to do right.

Yeah I should throw a lot more orbs around when I'm pressuring people, I barely throw any at all.

edit: also her held orbs slowly hover downwards lol.

Uh yeah, so I'm back in the chan for a bit until my classes start (which is in about 2wks). Hit us up for an Aoko crash course and MBAA moon debates/ranting. Things got pretty crazy when P_A was linking some sick C-aoko matches (not favored by most JP players). As new strats, techniques, and OMG COMBOX are being discovered, we are all taking notes and making preparations for our queen come the PS2 release date.

I'm still doing sessions and such but trying not to focus as much on the AC specific subjects as most of us will be transitioning to the PS2 port. If you're interested in trying to pick up some basics, have questions about AA Aoko(s), have info or matches you wish to share, or would like to fag it up and chat about when the hell we're going to see WotHN, stop by at:

irc.mizuumi.net [/server]
#mages-association [/join]

I was supposed to hype up the chan a bit more this time around but I think I'm going to save my juices for the Aoko four-some. :fap:

EDIT:
same 'rules' apply: Aoko onree. Don't get it twisted- it's not intended to be number-X #meltyblood channel. It's strictly a focus group for Aoko enthusiasts. I started the chan because I'm gay for Aoko and would like to engage in an E-Blue-kkake with other Aoko users. (tmi, I know)

eeerrrr and no homo(?)

EDIT 2:
sup, to the lurking-ass haters.  :fap:

so after years of hating on melty blood making fun of arlieth for playing it and dodging veteru every evo i have decided to play mb so i can beat up on motoh. i'll try to idle in the chan to catch some random knowledge and actively participate when i'm not at work.
