not sure if i'm going to explain this right for you ppl to understand but.....

You know when an opponent lands behind you and you character is still turned around and is attack the wrong way and they hit you before you can turn around?

Well when i try to do that, me being the person who jumps behind, the person quickly turns around and hits me even though somtimes the character will be facing the wrong way and hitting air (me not being on that side), while i try to attack first (pressing button as fast as i can) the person will still have enough time and turn around and hit me. why is that?

Pro tip: If you have a doubt that you might not have the upper hand in a poke mashing battle, play it safe and simply block. This is something many of you ought to listen to.

They turn around almost as soon as you jump over them unless they already did an attack and are still recovering.  Do a jump attack that hits behind you on the way down.

does V.akiha have one of those? I notice her Jc doesn't always hit behind her, since i dont really know the hitboxes.

J.C does always hit behind her.  You pretty much need to be right next your opponent for it to connect, but thats true of almost every attack that hits behind you.

By the way, the technique you're referring to is called a "Cross-up".
