Help with Len for 2 beginners

Hi,

2 years ago a friend introduced myself and our friends to MBAACC. Lately we've found ourselves with more time and energy in the evenings, and a desire to explore this game. We used to play Touhou 12.3 a lot so we're not new to fighters, but we stopped playing that game years ago (right around when we had less free time) so we're a little rusty and not used to having to learn the characters, or even what the buttons do.

In this video, C-LEN has some extra orbs floating around her at times. She also has a move that involves turning into a hammer. We've seen the orbs happen once in one of our games, but can't recreate it, and can't work out how to turn into the hammer. The mizuumi wiki page for Len is sadly brief or incomplete. I've tried for 10 minutes in training mode to get it to work, but no luck. We're using MBAACC ver.1.07 rev.1.4.0 for PC.


Also, I've taken a liking to H-S.Akiha, but I just played 3 games against my friend's C-Len and couldn't even touch him without being very careful, much more careful than I have to be against his (imo much better) C-Miyako and C-Ryougi. Any tips?

Hello. There is a command list option when you pause the game that lets you check all the moves the character has, so you can check there. I dont know much about C-Len nor H-S.Akiha to give you any tips, but I believe the hammer is a command normal, like 4C or 3C.

Other than that, if you want to discuss the game you could access the #mbaa IRC channel in the mizuumi network.

In fact the hammer C-Len is not a common command. Use 421D (shory back and shield button) will make execute it. For the orbs, use 63214C (the same as the arc drive, but in the opposite direction that the character is facing).

Oh what? Wow, there are D-specials? Does every character have a D-special...?

Edit: They do! Everyone only has a 214D counter. We've been missing out in our games!

 C-Kohaku has a special with 2222D and 22D is used to switch between Kohaku and Hisui (with Hisui & Kohaku). Also all the characters have a bunker command (214D).

Edit: C-Aoko can do 22D if you have 150% bar and performed a special before. The last special will be called, including arc drive.

Edit2: Note that bunker should be performed when it is defending (on block) and not as other scams.
