After playing a bit with all these netplay applications, I got a bit annoyed from looking up and typing IP addresses over and over. Why can't I save these IPs into a database together with a name + comments, and then join a game at that IP automatically without having to type anything in?
So I made a small program to do just that.
http://omoshiroi.info/leviathean/MBACNetplayAssistant.zipUnzip the contents into your MBAC folder. Run MBACNetplayAssistant.exe.
- To Host a game, simply click the "Host Game" button at the top.
- To Join a game, select a player from the list, and click the "Join Game" button at the bottom.
- To Add new players, type a name above the "Add Player" button, and click "Add Player".
- To change an existing player's info, select that player from the list, edit various things like name, IP address/hostname, and personal comments in the available textboxes, and then click the "Save Player Info" button.
Enjoy your easier MBcaster experience.
(If you find any bugs or stuff, post here and I'll try to get to them if I have time)
