in version 1.02, theres a new check box in the advanced config page. I'm guessing its a safemode for loading cuz loading times don't happen in the background anymore and the versus screen is smooth now.
can anyone translate that page?

You can't skip the matchup screen with that checkboxed. That's all I've noticed.

I was discussing with XAQ, he had suggested that they may have changed the hitboxes of her 2C. Wallslams/combos involving her 2C being used after the initial 2C into 4B or wallslam followup now miss/hit certain characters they didn't before. It now whiffs on Kouma, but connects on Nero.
There also seems to be some changes to Arc's floating animation maybe? Before if Arc was to do a wallslam loop against Arc, the initial release of 2C > 5C was fast and timed like Warc's hitbox. However, now you can actually delay it longer and the Wallslam into 5A > 5B > 2B > 2C > xx > 5C loop works on Arc as well, which didn't before.
V notated that Arcueid's j.2B now has special frame cancels upon landing now so the 2C > j.2B > land > 22A is possible if you cancel 22A instantly upon j.2B landing. It can also be notated that j.2B can connect with 22B and 623C or A.
Last thing I noticed was Sion can now combo 3B> 421C > j.B whiff > land > 5[C] > 214B on Kouma. Didn't seem to work in PS2 VerB ( Or I could have been doing something wrong ). So they either changed something on Sion or on Kouma's falling hitbox.
Perhaps someone could double check this information to make sure it's correct.

Hahaha, no one cares about the Heat Effect option...

v1.03 patch: http://e56.info/mbacwin/mbacwin.cgi?patch103
Changes according to the readme:
* Fix to the victory screen when 4 human players are playing.
* New option in the option menu is regards to Heat mode and Blood Heat mode. The options are Arcade-style or PC-style Heat mode. Default is PC-style. (Note: Purely a graphical thing. Arcade-style removes the "burning" effect when in Heat/Blood Heat mode. A pointless option IMHO.)
* "Dummy Replay" has been added to the Practice Menu.
-Dummy Replay Specifics-
1) When the A button is pushed with the Dummy Replay selected in the Practice menu, the Player will be in control of the opponent character. This will start the recording of the player's input. (Maximum record time is 30 seconds)
2) The player's input is saved when recording is finished.
3) When "Dummy" is selected for CPU Action, the CPU will play back the action that was recorded.

Not the case here. A+B+C is Manual Heat/Blood Heat activation regardless if HeatEffect is Arcade or PC.
-
I was about to edit my post after retry. I thought it was a question of how the different modes were known to work. :psyduck:
It really doesn't seem like much changes. 66D doesn't do anything, there is no difference in "maxing the bar" (Ends in MAX, not AUTO-HEAT), the only thing I can think of is maybe something to do with either the damage for Blood Heat Arc-Drives, or shield drain rate.
~Chun
-
no, heat effect (arcade) just reduces the (cool) "blurring" effect you see when in heat mode (max or kaiho).
-
1337 grAfix
-
I was wondering when a new patch was going to come out.
-
Note about Dummy mode:
It doesn't take crossup into account DURING it's replay. It switches the lefts and rights of the inputs you entered at the BEGINNING of the next rep of the dummy replay, but not during it. So if you crossup the dummy right before they enter a 236 motion, they'll pull a 214 off instead, but if you just jump over and the next rep starts, things will proceed normally.
-
I don't know if this was in an earlier update (didn't know there were any updates untill yesterday) but the AI is much better in team battles. It maximizes life by switching approprietly, and uses the timing of switching to its' advantage. also, now it attacks during the charge in and does a better job of countering your switches.
-
I noticed a 1.03 bug - again pertaining to KohaHisu yet again (you'd think they'd fix the replay synch bug for this too by now :slowpoke:). When using Dummy mode, you can only control Hisui - tagging Kohaku or selecting Dummy mode while using Kohaku will make you lose control of your character. You can still press start to get out of it, but you cannot move Kohaku at all. :(

So that's what was wrong.
Goddamnit, can they nerf KohaHisu any more?
-
Buff: Kohaku's Heat Arc-Drive is now unblockable.
-
The difference between Arcade-style Heat/BloodHeat and PC-style Heat/BloodHeat is that Arcade-style removes the "burning effect". IMHO, HeatEffect is a useless option.
-
Buff: Kohaku's Heat Arc-Drive is now unblockable.
Thus rendering any use for Kohabon X to near nothing.
~Chun
-
Nerf maybe? Dunno if this was the case in previous versions - White Len's Blood Heat Arc drive is shieldable.
-
Buff: Kohaku's Heat Arc-Drive is now unblockable.
Nerf: Now instead of just body pushing, if they're in block stun Kohaku will dash right through the opponent as if they weren't there. Heat Version only.

Yep, I'd think I nerfs it. I thought of this right away, but it's utterly useless on blockstring, even immediately after it there's still some frame ignorance.

(V. Sion) I think you cant do jumping 2b into anything anymore... It wont let me do 2a or a launcher after... Might be a nerf... or the stick was bad. xD

Finally, I have motivation once more to work on them seriously.

-
Has the error involving them in match replays been fixed too?
-
I just patched my MBAC to version 1.03A and the changes with the replays from older versions and music looping problems are not taking effect. Is this just me or is any one else having this problem?
-
Make sure it says 1.03A in the titlebar when you boot up MBAC.
If it doesn't, perhaps you had mbcaster open when you updated? netplay binds the executable so it can't be overwritten.
-
It does say v1.03A and I updated it before I even downloaded the netplay, but Sion's stage song still loops a half second off and my replays from older verisons still crap up.
-
MBAC - ver.B 1.03A PC Version?
thats such a rediculous amount of suffixes.
why not add on some roman numerals and a beta symbol?
-
kohaku's arc is unblockable WTF!!! can anyone do something about this.

I just jump over it. You have plenty of time to do so.
