I'm not worried about a PS2 release just yet. Once it comes out on PC I think then it's fair to start thinking about a PS2 release, but that's just me. :-X

lol D-pad and keyboard is what i learned to play all fighting games with, i wasnt' any big arcade man, which does *look* cooler to use than a d-pad, but still not as mad as beating another person using a keyboard, thats just embarrassing for the guy using a stick or d-pad

NO PS2 RELEASE PLZ.

Come on. Think about it.

PS2 version is bad because it doesn't have a progressive scan mode. I have component cables but I still have to put up with interlacing which throws my game off.

PC version runs at 60 FPS progressive scan. Exact frame timing? No problem!

Also, the screenshots for tag team battles have been replaced with normal screenshots on Ecole's MBAC webside. Sad. Were we fooled? D:

Try reading the website for the PC version and NOT the arcade version?

Wow! They're gonna put a Tag Battle mode in this game? Sounds interesting. It does say "4P...whatever the rest is saying" though. So do you think it's gonna be a 2 Player Tag Battle mode or a 4 Player Tag Battle mode?

PC version runs at 60 FPS progressive scan. Exact frame timing? No problem!

If you're talking about HDTV lag, you likely still have HDTV lag coming from your PC, even though it's progressive, because it's not scaled to your TV's resolution. Melty Blood runs in 640x480, which scales to a standard def TV as 720x480(non-square pixels). Either way it's a lot lower than a HDTV resolution, so it'll likely still lag...but not as much as an interlaced signal will.

If they do a ps2 release, I hope they include a progressive scan option. At this day in age, it's harsh to do ignore that.

There might be a hack I can find out that will upscale the game to my native resolution. If not, I have plenty of CRT monitors to play on. :D :D

**EDIT** - Also, since the signal will be coming through VGA, I imagine things will work out just fine on my HDTV. It's not even an HDTV, but a 37" 8ms monitor. If there are still problems with that, then 20"-CRT-I-Picked-Up-For-Six-Dollars-From-Goodwill, here I come!

I was going back through all my old OSTs and such and I found my old one from the earliest versions of Melty Blood.  God damn, they need to redo some of those songs and re release them for this version.  Especially the character select song, its so much better in its old form than the current ones we have.  The opening needs to come back too...

YES!  I've been saying that practically since Act Cadenza came out on ps2 and I imported it.  lol

The ReAct OP and the character select tune are superior, imo.  I do like a lot of the new music added in Act Cadenza though, so I can't really complain too much.  ^_^;

Lies, all of that is. And you know you get giddy when the game over screen plays.

Pre-ordered and it will set me back about 100 bucks

But I can't complain. Trying to play the PS2 version the same way I play in FT is like trying to race in F1 using a 1984 Honda Civic XD

Is there any way to post suggestions on the mb site because i would REALLY like to see a beefed up training mode for pc. Can you say record mode or crouch guard all or stand guard only or progressive guard?

as for mbac verB2 being on ps2.....uuuhhhh.....no. they wont get the speed correct im certain of this. hell im kinda skeptical about pc ver having the correct speed.

and for you pad/keyboard warriors: dont do it to yourselves. If you intend to play this game competatively and should mb one day blow up w/ a possibilty of sbo qualifiers being on the table....YOU WILL BE SAD  :emo:

zar are you even aware that your attitude is what drove people off in the first place. i think zar's attitude is worse than all of that. cause neither of you guys mean anything. but zar can poison shit around him. zar's the one that gets personal online and does realtalk that's out of line.

I wouldn't think getting it right for pc would be a real issue because programming for that platform offers the most flexibility. You are not limited by having to optimize for the complete junk that goes into a PS2...or pretty much having to optimize at all. But we'll see...for now I'm just happy to get the latest stuff =)

If they fuck up a PC release they just patch it. If they fuck u a PS2 release they go banckrupt.
also 4 player tag would be AWSOME.
